    the one thing I always want someone to acknowledge but NO ONE ever does or has, is the fact that every time an investigator claims they feel a "cold spot,", they NEVER confirm it with the thermal. it's always just a verbal description with some brief hand gestures.

    • @paranormaltv2478
      @paranormaltv2478  2 года назад +5

      When it comes to reality TV investigations that is often the case, however, thermal cameras are not ideally suited for detecting changes in air temperature as they are designed to measure surface temperature. A standard digital thermometer would serve much better... not that they use those much either lol

There were a couple on RUclips I thought may be genuine but then all the activity started to be too much to be true. And I no longer believe anything on reality TV. I'm not saying some things may not really happen but think they are rare. I may have missed something but I've only seen one time that your equipment seemed to really register something.

      There is an abundance of misinformation circulating regarding the paranormal, we just try to separate facts from the nonsense. We have had many instances over the years where various pieces of technology that we use will register something abnormal but that still doesn’t necessarily mean it’s caused by something supernatural. We don’t show a lot of that on our show Paranormal because most of the time we can pinpoint a cause for the abnormal readings. Thanks for watching!

    Thank you for doing experiments to test theories ensure integrity in paranormal tools. We need more of that. I found your video and another on the same topic that attribute the on/off on heat cycles. Respectfully, your video doesn't seem to explain why the light goes off. You said the fiddling builds up heat. The light is placed in the OFF position and later turns ON after the heat dissipates (the shield contracts as it cools). As soon as it turns on, it begins to heat up again (shield expands). As long as the light in on, it will maintain or gain heat. It should never turn off as it always has a heat source. Please recall that at the start (during the fiddling) it was placed down in the OFF position (manually turned off) and allowed to cool. Once the light is on, it can not cycle unless an outside something interacts with it because it will never cool. Fiddle with it, but set in down ON, will it turn off on it's own? If it doesn't, then your explanation may be flawed. What do you think?

    • @paranormaltv2478
      @paranormaltv2478  4 месяца назад

      You raise a good question, perhaps we didn’t iterate the proposed methodology of the flashlight trick as clearly as we could have. To clarify, the flashlight is not technically off when paranormal investigators use this technique but rather adjusted until it is between the on and off positions, creating an in perfect contact but the light will appear to be out. If it adjusted too much in either direction, the light will be either on or off and the flashlight will fail to illuminate anomalously. When an imperfect contact is induced there is still some current passing through the unit, however, not enough to fully illuminate the flashlight. That is where most of the heat will come from to initiate the process and start causing anomalies. Any extra heat gained from handling the flashlight as you are setting it up further speeds up the process.
      At the end of the day we have seen some interesting uses of this technique but our tests show that there is still a huge margin for error due to the false positives that we know can be produced. Thanks for watching and giving us your feedback, always nice to hear from our viewers!!!

    So the flashlights shouldn't be able to turn on if the temperature is below freezing correct?

    • @paranormaltv2478
      @paranormaltv2478  Год назад +1

      No they can still activate, it may just take longer for the cycles of malfunctions to start, it also may extend the duration of the cycle. There is no particular set of circumstances that makes this technique more accurate.

    So, I do have a question...
    I have purchased a twist light like this from Home Depot... and me and a buddy went to a place upnorth in my state that was considered "haunted". Now, I had the flashlight on me the entire time in my bag, seperate from anything else.
    The temp at this place was 70 degrees thru the day and dropped to 66 at night.
    We used the flashlight to ask questions. And I made sure the light wasn't in a sweetspot where it would turn and and off in the way you stated in this video....
    And i was able to get responses to my questions every single time.... can you explain that then?? My buddy recorded the session on an old sony cam corder with old cassette tape for media. And we captured everything over 30mins of recording before the battery mysteriously died WHILE IT WAS CHARGING.... how can you explain a light, not in a 'sweetspot' turning on and off exactly after our questions?.... we even tested it out outside of the place we went to and had absolutely no responses to our questions.....
    We even went back to home depot, had the light replaced with a different one in case it 'malfunctioned' and also bought 2 more lights.... and all 3 had the same reaction when we returned that day after buying and replacing them..... there's no way all 3 lights were bunk.... so how can that be explained then???

    • @paranormaltv2478
      @paranormaltv2478  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the question. It’s not the flashlights that are “bunk” but the methodology inherent in the technique. It actually sounds like you performed the flashlight session “correctly” and experienced the exact sort of malfunction that we demonstrated. We would be open to examining your video if you feel like sharing it, however, the problem remains there is no way of knowing if your flashlights illuminated because of something supernatural without additional evidence and personal experiences of other sorts at the time of the event. This technique is know to yield false positives as we have demonstrated and if there is a chance for error, how can we trust the results?Thanks for watching!

    • @clangnk3504
      @clangnk3504 Год назад

      @@paranormaltv2478 you say it malfunctioned exactly like your video... however, we didn't put our flashlights in a sweetspot at all?. We turned them on with a full turn of the headlamp. We shook it and everything to make sure it didnt shut off by touch or movement. And it was if the batteries would die on the flashlight... but then come back on after a few seconds.

    • @clangnk3504
      @clangnk3504 Год назад

      @@paranormaltv2478 and if I can EVER figure out how to get the video off of the cam corder. (Tape to digital) id love to share it with you. Its completely unedited and is about 47 minutes long from the time we turned on the camera, walked in, set up. And as we were getting ready to leave, is when our battery "died" WHILE PLUGGED IN.
      So maybe a huge surge of electric energy was in that room?

    • @paranormaltv2478
      @paranormaltv2478  Год назад +1

      If the lights were on and kept turning off we would suspect faulty flashlight or batteries but as you said it happened with multiple flashlights…There is still know way of determining if a ghost caused the event by without additional evidence and their is little we can conclude from anecdotal records alone.

  • @RetroSoulGirl
    @RetroSoulGirl Год назад +3

    What if they screwed it on tight though so it works normal? Can a ghost still turn it?

    • @paranormaltv2478
      @paranormaltv2478  Год назад +6

      Great question. Screwing these flashlights tightly will turn the unit off. You could in theory ask a ghost (if they exist) to turn the light on, however, you would require proof that the light was physically manipulated by an unseen force, that would require video documentation, from multiple angles ideally as well as data from a torque measurement sensor of some kind attached to the unit, to validate that there was a force being applied to the flashlight. But without an actual measurement of force, or video of a ghost manipulating the unit, there is just not enough evidence to support the results are caused by supernatural phenomena.

    Why would an LED not work for this? I'd read that LED ones are better because they don't produce significant heat and therefore no thermal-related false positives. If it's actually paranormal, wouldn't an LED work just as well as an incandescent?

    • @paranormaltv2478
      @paranormaltv2478  Год назад

      Most of the time people are using the incandescent mini Maglites so those are the flashlights that we focused on. You rase a great point about LED’s not producing as much heat and our testing has shown that the LED versions of the mini Maglites don’t usually illuminate on their own even in the “sweet spot”. That being said, even if there is less of a chance for false positives due to thermal expansion, the flashlight is still being used improperly by partially unscrewing the unit and deliberate miss use of equipment does not lend itself to accurate data. We are not saying that a ghost, if they exist, couldn’t manipulate a flashlight but you still need additional validation.

      The Ascended Spirits of the Masters-Buddha, Jesus, Krishna and Mohamed-said, "Moncughr Losrorphcighc dmnadfohg! Oaagghe4? Mnropboar", which translates roughly to: "This bloody thing doesn't work, you daft muppets."
      I'm joking about about the "translation", but there really was an experiment involving monolingual persons of diverse ethnic backgrounds which established that the Ouija Board simply reveals the collective projected impressions of the living.
