I think you might be the first one to do a reaction to this lesser known J5 song, great tune that takes me back to my high school grad days, thanks for reacting to it!
Probably their greatest song. They played the whole 7 minute version on the radio back then. I saw them perform this live and when Michael started singing his part the girls were screaming louder than the PA system. It was surreal
Jermaine did lead for this track. The wah wah pedal was extremely popular with guitars, back then that's what you hear.Drums is definitely fiyahh on this one.
Happy Birthday Dj John 🎉 one of my favorite songs of like 100 J5 songs…this song is Beautiful with Jermaine on lead vocals and Michael coming in.. wow!!!!! together= pure Gold ❤️❤️🔥🔥🙏🏻 I LOVE it💯🙏🏻
A nice break from all the rock and country music!!!! I do remember this song and would request another one by them called "With a Child's Heart" Jermaine Jackson started the song off.
“Dancing Machine” was interesting because it was the beginning of the end of “J-5” and the beginning of “The Jackson”. Jermaine preparing for a solo career.
Jermaine Jackson is the underused vocal weapon of the Jackson 5ive. His voice was only featured in a few of the groups hits. He was pushed into backup service behind Michael for the appeal and popularity. Had the Jackson's made him the lead after Michael left, I believe he could have brought them in the 8o's with a more grownup sound. But politics within the family and the groups decision to leave Motown, compounded by his marriage to Berry Gordy's daughter, Hazel, ruined any chance of that happening. Jermaine did manage to survive on his own. For reference, react to his hit songs, DO WHAT YOU DO, LET'S BE YOUNG TONIGHT, and PERFECT, from the soundtrack from the movie starring John Travolta and Jamie Lee Curtis. Enjoy
You HAVE TO listen to Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye’s, You’re A Special Part Of Me”. It’s one of the greatest duets ever made! My birthday is the 30th!😃 Thanks for keeping music alive!
Jermaine Jackson was the lead on this. If you liked his smooth vocals, then you should check out his solo hit "Do What You Do", or "Don't take it personal." Both were #1 hits for Jermaine.
This song does everything a song should do. Tease us first then prove it later. After hearing this, my opinion completely changed about Michael and his brother. BTW: The Jermaine intro is so uncopiable.
Awesome. Never herd this one before. I really hope sometime you can react to the song called, THE IDOL. ( with lyrics.) From the band WASP. Thanks! Your videos are always awesome!

Isn't there "fuzz" guitar in there as well?
I've always liked the drums on this. The drummer just went off.
Wow, I never heard this one from The Jackson 5, it sounds like Jermaine is on lead vocals.
he was.
If you 're talking about the "Come back, lover, come back" part, that was a clavinet, I believe. The opening was a Fender Rhodes Piano.
