I just made this recipe tonight and it couldn’t of been easier or more delicious. I really enjoyed this and look forward to sharing it with loved ones.
Delicious, quick and easy! I had some loose corn that I didn’t want to let waste in the fridge so I threw that in and the crunch is Superb! Thank you for your recipe
Tried this recipe today and it's the BEST recipe for potato soup I've ever made. And so easy! I only used 3 of 6 potatoes I steamed because once I mashed them up I thought that half of the potatoes was plenty enough for the soup. Oh, SO delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe!
Such a quick and easy recipe to follow. Thank you for sharing. It was super delicious. I decided not to add the sour cream and cheese into the soup but set it aside as a topper because I have sensitivy issues to dairy. Nevertheless, it was perfect! The video also showed how to make potatoes perfectly and can be used for other recipes.
I made the recipe per your exact ingredients and it was deeeeelicious. The only problem was when I had to switch from my first pressure setting to saute low and then saute high. Do you have to cancel and then reset each time? I got it done but I think it's probably easier than I made it. Any guidance?
I’m surprised this started by steaming whole potatoes for 20 minutes. It seems like cubing them and just adding them raw to soup would be fine - the pressure cooker should work it’s magic on the potatoes in 10 minutes
Just my two cents: I liked being able to “smash” the potatoes to my desired consistency - some big pieces for hearty bites and some mashed completely to make it even thicker. And smashing instead of cubing potatoes is okay with me 🙃
@@beckybeckel2691 I challenge you to do a taste test. Taste a batch that was steamed vs ones that were not. There’d be no taste difference. It’s called baked potato soup because of the toppings that are put on it, not because you bake the potatoes first. It’s an unnecessary step that provides no change in taste profile. Just extra time for no reason. But hey, to each their own. You do you. 👍🏻
Can someone explain to me what measurement " a little bit milk" is? I checked her website and It doesn't have it and she sure doesn't tell you in the video. I just had to guess from her measuring cup lol
I clicked on the "get the printable recipe" under the video. when that page came up, I clicked on the "jump to recipe" link. I think it said the amount of milk for the recipe is 4 cups.
Great recipe but it was so bland. 🤪 I added fresh and powdered garlic, yellow onion and onion powder salt and pepper and a whole lot more bacon. Then perfection.
I can do without the bacon bits....pigs ain't clean to eat according to the Bible Isaiah 66:17 King James Version (KJV) 17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord. King James Version (KJV)
Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.

I made this today. instead of bacon bits. I got a good quality beef chorizo... it took it off the chart.!!! Thank you so much for the recipe ✌️
Yum sounds so amazing!
Great idea!

If you like hard boiled eggs add 6 hard boiled egg when done cooking.
So Yummy!
How do I adjust the receipt for the 3 qt instant pot, what size do you use when you do your demo’s thank you❤️

Yes, that’s the same thing I thought. Seems unnecessary

Then it wouldn't be "baked", it would just be potato soup.
@@beckybeckel2691 I don’t think steaming qualifies as baking either

I don't have any better than bouillon, but I have chicken broth and bouillon cubes. Would I be able to substitute with either of those
Can we dice them when cooking ?
If you put the potatoes into a ice bath of water the peals come off easier. If you don’t like the peals.
Thanks for the tip!
Will it freeze well?
Can I use lactose free milk instead of the 1%?

I have the insta pot mini would I just half the recipe
what can you use if you do not have the better than bouillon - I don't think I can get it where I live
Do you have a bouillon cube? Use that.
@@karenbellessapeterse Thank you - That's what I thought
Cant find how much milk to use?
How much milk? How much salt snd pepper?
it says it in the description
Doesn't say how much milk?
How much milk do you add?

*_Next time, keep the potato water for the starch._*

I agree it was easy enough to make, but just kinda blah I had to add some extra stuff too
