Your videos are a legacy and I'm glad I found them. Here it is, Feb. 1, 2024, and we are still enchanted and learning from your tutorials. I've been painting and drawing for 70 years so everything you teach isn't really new as we painters use these techniques, but what is new and inspiring is how to use colored pencils to achieve those same results. Thank you.
Hi PETA, I am new to your videos. Just recently restarted coloring to connect with my autistic granddaughter. She loves to color and draw. We spent a weeks vacation wit h her family and every day for an hour or two I sat across from her and just colored. I have become hooked! Today she asked to visit Grandma, a first! We colored together for over 3 hours. During that time, I didn’t offer any suggestions, we just had your videos on. At the end of our session she had done 2 pictures, one mandala and a flower scene. In the flower scene, she did the background first, she blended colors, shaded flowers, and added white highlights. You helped make a special day for us. Thank you!
I have really enjoyed all three of these coloring tutorials. It is very helpful that you do several flowers slowly, telling us what you are doing and why and then speed through the rest of that particular thing. By the time you speed up we already understand what you are doing and why. You work is lovely, and you are very kind teaching the way you do. Thank you!
Peta, i have just completed this tutorial and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed following along with you. I learned so much from beginning to end. One of the best tutorial's I have watched. The colors were spectacular and the page just pops! Thank you for all your hard work.
As always, I have learned many things from your tutorials. In this tutorial I learned more about backgrounds and organizing yourself before starting a project. I have been implementing the suggestions you make as they apply at the given time. I have ordered Ivy and the Inky Butterfly. I can't wait to get started using what I have learned from you. Thank you for sharing your time with us.
It's magnificent!! I always looking forward to your next tutorial. I found colouring flowers is hard. But after looking at your tutorial, I have more confidence in colouring flowers now. Thank you Peta!
Thank you so much for this video. I haven’t been colouring for long and I never know what colours to use or how to use them so it has been lovely to be able to follow along with you.
Wow! I just completed the series of tutorials and finished the picture! I am new to polychromos and you have helped me understand how to use them and I created something beautiful! Can't wait to try another tutorial!
Peta, when will you be doing another coloring tutrial from the World of Flowers book? I recently bought it and loved this tutorial! You do fantastic work.
Beautiful! Watching you colour is mesmerizing. I have to teach myself to take my time and be patient when colouring. Can't wait to get this book and get into it. Thanks for your tutorials.
Hi I don’t no if u have ever heard of the 15 foot coloring book ? It’s called To The Ocean Deep . Well there are two others but that’s the one I got . But if u ever happen to maybe get it could u please do a color along with it . I love the way you color and can follow along with your videos and I’m kinda lost on how to mix colors and shade stuff . Love the pic in this video also beautiful work . ❤️
Hello Peta. I’ve been enjoying your tutorials. The little green bits at the base of flowers is called a “sepal”. Also, in the Oxford dictionary, it’s written the the word phthalic is derived from naphthalene, so the “a” is pronounced like “fat”, not “thy”. Hope this is helpful to you.
I love how the dandelions turned out...the pom pom things. Another tutorial I loved, she used a white gel pen to draw it the breezy things and drew a few flying out from the main flower. It was a beautiful addition to her page. But this is better for me. I would be afraid of ruining my page
@@PetaHewitt yes!! I watch your videos and her's and I love Julie's passion for coloring. I love your color schemes. I hope I can learn to color like you ladies do.
Dearest Peta - The individual leaves are called sepals, and collectively they form the calyx, and are attached to the peduncle (stem). Enjoy your holiday, your hubby is tops to surprise you,Ike that. I'll watch for you on Instagram. FYI Bistre is pronounced bister like mister.
David NIKKI Cortes, Hi Nikki, I just posted at the top where to get them, however I couldn’t see the name brand on Peta’s glove, but the good thing about Amazon Prime, if you don’t like the one you picked, just send it back. 🤗💕

Thank you for all your instruction! I used Prismacolors and Soucolor.
Loved this tutorial. I am sure someone answered by now but the leafs that protect the petals are sepals or calyx.

I guess you're referring to Chris Chang. She's brilliant. I love how her version turned out.

Thank you Kim. I should really learn these. It would make it much easier to refer to the different parts of the flower while colouring these.

Hi! May I know what colors did you used in this video? Thank you 😍😘
