    I love this video. I think it’s one of your best. Every point you make is true and I hope viewers take it to heart. We’ve RV’d for over 35 years, traveled cross country numerous times, owned 8 rigs and we know the RV life is not what the industry sells you.
    I would add two points to your video:
    Don’t be afraid to walk away if the deal or the Rv isn’t the right one. There are more out there.
    I suggest newcomers RENT one or two to see if you like the unit or the lifestyle. The money spent is worth it.
    Thank you again.

    There are also just regular mom and pop or smaller Rv parks that are not resorts that are cheaper without all of the amenities. I wish all manufacturers and dealerships would post the CCC of a specific floor plan

    I'm an "RV Renter" and I can honestly say that I have learned "A LOT!" over the last 4 Years Renting! And there's NOTHING like spending a few nights with a specific floor plan to get VERY CLEAR on what works and what "DOES NOT!" (ie. TV Angle!!!) This is a great video especially for those who are "New to the Sport of RV'ing". I'm grateful to say that I have done national searches, joined Facebook Groups for the specific make and model and attended rally's to talk to rv owners and what they would do differently with respect to buying. Along with having an RV Professional Inspection and Appraisal!! Great video topic! Thanks for sharing! ~Big C in the DP 📢 ::: Air Horn 📢 ::: ::: Air Breaks! ::: 🚌🚌🚌

    Good advice. I love it that you highlighted CCC early in your video. We knew nothing about CCC when we bought our first Class C (but loved it, a 2021 Entegra Esteem 29V). Some other advice for buying: make a must have list and don't compromise. For us, when we bought our Class A it had to have: King size bed, bath and half, ccc of 3k+, good interior and exterior storage, farmhouse interior, oven, good tv veiwing position, and a good warranty. What complicated our upgrade to a Class A was the value offered on our trade. We found an rv we would have been willing to buy in Florida (at General RV), we live in SC, but their offer of a trade was $23k less than what we were offered 4 miles from home! So, even though I really wanted full body paint, I compromised to get it locally with the much better trade value. Final comment about RV shows, you can't see the RV with the slides in.

      @AmpedtoGlamp  3 месяца назад

      Thanks Larry! 😊 We've seen salesman pull in the slides at the larger shows like Hershey and Florida. But it's not something usually done at the smaller local shows. Great tip with the list!

    This stuff may have been covered before by others, but you guys really nailed it. Lots of great info here not mentioned elsewhere. I haven’t seen many videos that address some specific things to watch for when purchasing, like how easy is it to access the batteries for testing/maintenance? Are those screw-on/off caps that provide access to the water/sewer bays easy to use or nightmare to remove? Is the engine compartment door large enough to easily access the engine for maintenance? How loud is the A/C fan? How loud is the furnace fan and is it right under the bed? Can you access the HDMI/USB/Etc ports on the TV’s without removing them from the wall (and HOW can they be removed from the wall)? How is the 50Amp power cable stored and will it be easy to deploy/retract? And here’s the type of thing no one can foresee or even imagine: on my brand new 36’ gas motorhome, the air filter cover could not be removed to change the filter unless the windshield wiper motor was completely removed!! Got to carefully look at everything when buying these things!

    I hope you found a solution for the running out of memory problem. It’s actually quite simple. Final Cut Pro wants to save every action “redo [command Z] edit. However, all those edits saved up take a lot of space. I’m sure you’ll find out exactly what I did though I can’t remember the exact steps right off the bat. But you guys are smart. Happy camping!

      Yes, I figured it out. Because we had issue with the color I was attempting a lot of color grading which was getting rendered constantly. I've changed my set up for rendering and proxy files.

    If you’re going to full-time in an RV, make sure you buy your RV first before you sell your home! There is extremely few financing companies that will finance you for full-time without a stick and bricks. How can they repossess your vehicle if you don’t make your payments if you’re constantly moving.

    I like that you positioned "the type of camping" first. That's the hardest for me; I wanna do it all, yet I haven't done any type and don't know which I would really like to do. 😟 That's why I'm gonna rent in the beginning.

    I am new to the game of RVing and I was told to never buy a new RV because I will get more bang for the buck if the original owner took the depreciation hit. But I was offered a new 2023 Thor Challenger 36FA (800 miles) for $130,000 (MSRP $257,000). It doesn't have the leatherette seat covering but that's ok. It sounds like a good deal to me. What do you think? Thanks

      I recommend staying away from Thor and anything built after 2019. Check out our RVs are trash video to learn why. ruclips.net/video/7livwtr7e3s/видео.htmlsi=4vtHsYTJOHaPLpto

    Great video again guys! So I'm on the fence about spending the extra money and getting a 2023 Bounder 33C that I really love or going a little cheaper with an Entegra Vision 29S...I know you own a Bounder so just wanted your opinion on it? Do you find Fleetwood to be better than other manufactures? Would you buy a Bounder again after owning one for awhile now?

    • @AmpedtoGlamp
      @AmpedtoGlamp  3 месяца назад +1

      That's a tough question. Given the experience we've had over the past couple of years I'd have to say no. But we also have one of the infamous covid coaches. To be honest, we wouldn't buy anything after 2019 at this point. Not until we see an uptick in quality.
