This was 100% allowed to happen, if not something even worse than that. There is simply no way that secret service would not have someone positioned on that rooftop. It's unthinkable, it goes far beyond incompetence.

@@manoftheworld1000 There is video on Reddit of people warning police and authorities several minutes, literally several minutes, prior to the shooting. Without question, the agent had the shooter under glass for several minutes and was being told to stand down. Too many things don't add up and it's just inconceivable that the rooftop would not be covered with agents physically positioned there. It's an elevated position, 150 m away from the podium and a clear line of sight. There is simply no way this could be overlooked, it's impossible.

Likely. No way they did not see the treaty. If they could not cover it properly by personeel problems it is a no go. Not having the event on a location one can't properly secure. And this was not even a tough location.

How would Crooks (who lived approx 50miles away) even think that that building would be accessible and unguarded? How did he get to the building with his long rifle undetected?
Apparently he accessed the roof of that industrial building via a substantially big ladder. How convenient, where did the convenient ladder come from? Is it a new ladder? Who owns it?
This was the only line of site view corridor left accessible and unguarded by the SS to the podium and by pure coincidence Crooks has knowledge as how to access it and where to be positioned?
This aspect alone is very suspicious of possible planning and pre-arrangements by others.

The CST team should have known EXACTLY who WAS or WAS NOT on any other roof. They should have confirmed coms and readiness before crowd came in. No ground crew would climb up onto a rooftop once the event started without notifying the CST. There should not have been any confusion that a person on that roof was a threat.

Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker said, “It was a total security breakdown from start to finish. From the total security plan for the rally to the reaction once the shots rang out.” He further added, “Imagine if the shooter hadn’t been this kid but a well-trained cell? Our enemies are looking at us thinking we can take Trump or anyone out now without a problem.”
The expert analysed the incident and the following protection measures in detail and said he was not against the director or agents being women given he has three daughters and three granddaughters who could be great secret agents in the future. He said, “But the women I saw up there with the president - they looked like they were running in circles. One didn’t know how to holster, the other one didn’t seem to know what to do, and another one seemed not to be able to find her holster. DEI is one thing. At this point it was obvious he was a bad guy, not someone from law enforcement. The policeman who retreaedt we can assume called it in, 5-7 minutes before the shooter fired on Trump. Why is Whitcomb assuming in all this time the counter sniper pair were not informed that the guy on the roof was a bad guy? Even if they were not informed, from 150 yards away they could see a guy laying on the roof pointing a long gun at the stage - why would any law enforcement officer be in that position?? At 5:45, Larry brings up what he calls the 'site survey'. This is EXACTLY what the Secret Service "Advance Team" does. This is the team sent before the president or vice president are ever on site. When Dick Cheney was to come to Tokyo in 2003 for meetings in the US Embassy, it was his Secret Service Advance Team whom I was tasked with escorting through site preparation as an Embassy contracted employee. This involved going over every single potential breach of security location that could be identified, and securing it. This is always done and maintained prior to the event and fully secured throughout.
I don't believe incompetence has anything to do with this assassination attempt. I believe that shooter was a known danger, and allowed to position himself accordingly.

    Let me get this straight.
The two snipers shot the gunman IMMEDIATELY after he fired off a few rounds. Barely seconds between the gunman firing his rifle and the snipers returning fire. Therefore it would be safe to assume that they already had him in their sights for some time
So, these snipers whose one and only task is to eliminate ANY potential threat, watched an unidentified man crawl around on a rooftop with a rifle, watched him aim his rifle at Trump, but only fired at him AFTER he shot off a few rounds because they weren't sure who he was? And we're to believe this is a plausible scenario because of some protocol whereby snipers need to receive official permission to eliminate an IMMEDIATE THREAT???
    Gaslighting BS

I have complaints about the S.S. and their response.. it was way too SLOW.
There were multiple shots fired by the time they got to him and HE crouched down to the ground, they didn't put him there.
AND, had they listened to the civilians in the crowd that REPEATEDLY told the police that there was an armed man on the roof, it would NOT have gone as far as it did and two innocent people would not have been injured or killed.
This analysis seems like an attempt to set the narrative.
And I AM NOT BUYING IT.
    Very disappointing, Larry.

I completely disagree with your assessment of "delay to identify the threat" with regard to rules of engagement because 1) assuming the SS sniper knew the protected perimeter, 2) the shooter's position was outside of the perimeter and 3) therefore there were no local law enforcement protecting the roof. 140yds is an easy sight ID even without a scope. In a split second, the sniper position had an easy ID to the the incoming threat. Plus, the sniper had support there with him.

We like information and context. It's important. Yet matey is droning and has taken 45mins to give 10mins worth of info. Concise doesn't mean pointless detail and self important bs. Larry does try to summarise but matey even interrupts and bloviates through that.
Christ, he's like a guy that's used to sitting in middle of a circle surrounded by acolytes and has lost the ability to be concise and direct...He's an ex sniper, talk on that! We'll let an ex close CP guy take us through the dos, don'ts and marks out of 10 his close support deserve. We don't need THIS guy to give us 15mins on that ffs. I got to 25mins and he still hadn't even MENTIONED the sniper teams snd seemed to forget we wanted to know about why the other roof didn't have a team on it. Thats what happens when you bloviate, you lose track, you're not concise and in giving lots of pointless detail you forget the important stuff.
I daresay he's like whoever gave Trumps security team their pre event pep talk!!😂😂
