A good and informative, video. Well done. I did the EHW between 6 May and 13 May 2024. Like you, I couldn't find anywhere suitable near Spean Bridge to pitch my tent and had to walk on for several miles. I got to the Insh Scout camp and saw the "No Unauthorised Camping" signs but since I was on my own and it was getting late I took a chance and pitched up. No-one disturbed me and and on leaving the following morning I left no trace. Happy days. Cheers.
I've watched several videos on the EHW. I will be doing it august/September and this is the best and most informative so many thanks and looking foward to watching the rest. Andy._
Nice one, don't stress about finding a wild camping spot nature will always provide a place especially in Scotland. Personally i would have pitched up at that scout campsite and if anybody came by i would have said i tired to call but had no signal! I'm going to watch the rest of your adventure as i liked to way you filmed it and the cool accent 👍😎
My kids have all gone to that camp site , I'm sure nobody would mind one respectful camper leaving no trace , it's only used a handful of times throughout the year.

Well done! I can’t wait to watch the rest!!!
Hopefully no more missing footage lol. The village and some camp stuff totally not there. (lesson learned, we put up with the gopro beeps)
What a fantastic start of a wonderful outdoor adventure. Wish you all the best for the next days on the trail!
Thanks so much.

Thanks so much Andrew. I hope you have an amazing time on your walk when it comes and that you manage to avoid the midges.
I recommend the hostel at Monessie falls, what I used at Easter now the bridge is open

Hey, thanks so much. Yeah on reflection I should have. No one probably would have even came by.

I was really tempted just to use it. Looked a brilliant place.
Should have camped in the scout land...although there is a place just further on near the river.
@@johnmccarron yeah definitely think I would next time, it would have been so much better
Enjoy the trip was ment to be doing it at probably the same time as yourself beginning of May . But had to postpone until September
September should be a great time to do it. Still avoids the dreaded midges
