Maybe you are and maybe you aren't.. But there are no unearned accomplishments. So long as you don't become discouraged, I believe you can be great : -)
I'm a violinist, and this is definitely one of the best versions ever recorded. the first violin descends from position in a warm way, vibrating and glissando every note, creating an emotional tension that I have never felt, between the joy and the deep pain, among other things recognizable in the tension of the grimaces of his face;this is what the Germans called in 800/romanticism sturm un drang
Yes, she is superb. But to me (also a violinist), it doesn't feel like she's playing with the others. Contrast this performance with the Esme quartet, who take such joy in playing together. ruclips.net/video/tx2tf--PONA/видео.html
I'm in an advanced quartet of high schoolers and we're going to try to do this!! I'm really scared because the cello part is so intimidating but this recording is absolutely beautiful and makes me glad I decided to try it... just printed out all the parts and we'll see how it goes tomorrow :)
Happy Birthday to the Late Alexander Borodin and Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas ☃️🎄 Go HUG someone today IF they're been vaccinated or not 🚫 Blessings and Hugs 💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕!
Not at all! As a violist who has played this work many times, there are many lovely moments for the viola which this video doesn't capture. If you want to talk about pain, try playing viola in a bel canto opera (Bellini, Donizetti)- 3+ hours of whole notes and after-beats!
The performers are: Danbi Um, Sean Lee, violin; Paul Neubauer, viola; David Finckel, cello. You can learn more about them all here: www.chambermusicsociety.org/about/artists/
Soy noruego. Gracias a Rusia. Mucho emociones😊
In the cello part at 6:09, is that not supposed to be pizzicato? Most groups perform it that way; this guy is the first I’ve seen that uses his bow in this section.

Brought back so much sweet memory when I first heard this in college. That was the warmth in a crudely cold winter. Love it.
Rarely does the viola have such a marvelous opportunity and Mr. Neubauer is a master. This is a very memorable performance.
I heard this on the bus and got hooked because it’s such a good piece for clearly hearing the viola... man, I will always miss string quartets.
I want to know which buses you take that play this kind of music.

Do you live in N Korea now or something? You can listen to them anytime you like!!
Wow...if Russian Chemist who composed music in his free time could write this masterpiece, I feel like I am good at nothing.
Maybe you are and maybe you aren't.. But there are no unearned accomplishments. So long as you don't become discouraged, I believe you can be great : -)
The world desperately needs people who are capable of being aware of beauty.
You are very good at that. And for that I am thankful.
He is a gift to our world. He came here for a mission.
You recognized and appreciated the endless beauty of Borodin's music. I respect you for that and wish you much happiness.
Feels like classical music make ppl bond together and share good feelings, encourage each other like these comments.. so good
Everybody: I'm so tired of working, I think I'll have a smoke
Borodin: I'm so tired of working, I think I'll write a masterpiece
Love your comment.
When he was even more tired of work he wrote a masterpiece opera.

My favorite string quartet piece!!

Elegant, just the right touch. Borodin would be very pleased. You have made his music sing.
That viola player knows his stuff wow

The second violin just... wow!!!
There are never enough recordings of this piece!
Beautiful indeed - tinged with sadness and yearning.
This is the definitive recording, plus it's video.
정말 듣기 좋아요.
눈을 감고 가만히 듣고 있으면
오늘의 스트레스가 날아가고
어느새 마음이 포근해져요.
감사합니다.
This piece makes me incredibly happy. Thanks for the upload!

Im also doing this for a quartet! Only the first section though. The cello lines in this are so pretty, I wish you luck!
These musicians are all stars! Wonderful playing.
It is like we are talking over a cup of coffee...and then it’s fire.
Just beautiful, one of my favorite string quartets. Thank you so much!
Beautiful music, exquisitely played.

Soo did you find a boyfriend?
Im having it played at cocktail hour at mine!
This piece is painful to sit through for the viola but still gorgeous for everyone else

@Jedidiah Lightner Stay with it, Jedidiah, and you will be able to play the Borodin plus other great chamber music works!
Один из шедевров мировой музыки
Согласен! Жаль что миром правят не музыканты. Сколько бы шедевров было
Nice. I am now a relaxed and sleepish bear. Goodnight, and thanks to all !
@Israel Kuye I wonder...
Excellently performed

Was this inspired by Tchaikovsky? In any way?

it's corona time
Yeah. Still after 6 months😬😷
Over a half year!! Whattt!?
Who is leading in this group? David seems to be looking intently at Danbi; is he trying to follow her (as first violin)?
Dúnedain Rangers that’s usually who you follow in a quartet
Didn't know Jordan Peterson played the cello
G 5:52
This is a stark contrast to the abomination that is symphony 1 mvmt. 1 (sorry).

A lovely piece, but It looks like "Borodin" got little rejected :P
In the 1st mov't, it's not a 32nd note turn on the main melody, it's 2 sixteenths. Play them evenly.
Lol. Does the first violin have to play the beginning all on the A string? Just looking for advice
Martinez Charles Jones Timothy Martin John
the second violin looks like hes trying to hide the fact that hes a zombie
What 😂
You're wrong, man, he's a replicant
