    That's a nice looking Black Leather boots man . Do your feet 🦶 have a lot Of space and them ? I don't remember you talking about that . They look really nice to wear in the winter time . I like them . Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video buddy .

      I wouldn't say they have "a lot" of room. Just enough for me. They are sure beautiful. Thanks Mack!

    Just got them yesterday. Before transitioning to barefoot shoes, I was a big boots person, so I had to get these.
    They feel great, they are the widest shoe I have now, too wide , at least for me. This is the first barefoot shoe I got that made me think of clown shoes.
    ppl who have very wide feet will appreciate it more I guess. Hope it grows on me

      How long have you been wearing barefoot shoes? These are a comfortable wide width. I don't think these look at all like clown shoes.. They're so gorgeous. However, if you're new to barefoot shoes, I could see how your eyes are not accustomed to looking at foot-shaped shoes yet possibly. After you've been wearing barefoot shoes for awhile, you will look at everyone else's conventional shoes like they are absolutely ridiculous, I can assure you.

      @@barefootshoejosh I’ve been wearing barefoot shoes for around 6 months. Not very long.
      Other than the boots, I have a couple of chukkas from Vivo and Groundies as well as another boot from Zaqq.

      @@bryanyap4247 ah, yeah, that explains your perception--short time in barefoot shoes, and the ones you have are at the narrow end of the spectrum. Have you traced your feet yet and measured your length and width in cm?

    Is the tongue gusseted? Ça they be waterproofed for winter? I am looking for a pair that would ideally be waterproofed and where I can add a wool/felt insole and 2 pair of wool socks for Canadian winter.

    I tend to wear a 41 in Birchbury, Zaqq, Carets, and other brands. Any sense on the sizing? I have a low volume narrow foot.

    • @barefootshoejosh
      @barefootshoejosh  13 дней назад +1

      They seem to be pretty true to size; but what are your foot length & width measurements? You should trace your foot (while putting your weight on it), then measure the width and length on the tracing so you know your measurements. Then, look at the sizing chart for the boots, and pick the size that gives you somewhere between 8-15mm extra space in the length. That's my two cents anyway.

    Josh, forgive my asking for TMI, but do you have a good arch? Or are you flat-footed? Just asking for reference.

    • @barefootshoejosh
      @barefootshoejosh  16 дней назад

      I have a nice medium arch, and medium-high volume.

    I need a barefoot shoe with a lift for a slightly shorter leg

    • @Soph-I-as.dreaming
      @Soph-I-as.dreaming 16 дней назад +1

      Any good shoe repair or cobbler can add a lift. It may cost a little more for your first lift, but they save the measurements in a file so, subsequent lifts may be cheaper.

      @barefootshoejosh  16 дней назад

      As the other commenter mentioned, a local cobbler can add a lift to many shoes. Alternatively, you can choose one of the companies that make custom shoes, and see if they can accommodate your need for a lift. Here are some I've reviewed here on the channel (I also know a couple of custom sandal companies, but I'll leave those off since you said "Shoe")...

      I'm not sure any or all of these can do lifts; but it's worth asking. I'm also sure there are others out there that do custom stuff and could possibly do it that I'm not thinking of.
      Additionally, I THINK that you can re-sole some of these shoes below (do your research to make sure though!), which would give you the option of talking to your local cobbler about adding a lift...

    I love the look of Origo shoes, but they kill me with the non removable foam insoles.💔

      @barefootshoejosh  15 дней назад +1

      I hear you. Having the option to remove is always nice.. but that said, a total stack height of 10.5mm on a quality leather boot is really good.. I have barefoot sandals that are thicker than that.

    Is the tongue gusseted? Can they be waterproofed for winter? I am looking for a pair that would ideally be waterproofed and where I can add a wool/felt insole and 2 pair of wool socks for Canadian winter.

      "Weatherproofing is advised for boots frequently exposed to snowy or rainy conditions." - Origo website. The tongues are not gusseted. The tongue starts right near the bottom lace holes.
      In my opinion, it's not really designed as a hardcore winter/waterproof boot. It's a stylish leather boot that is lightweight, minimalist, and is best suited for casual or semi-dress style in milder conditions.
