    Good video, there is a setting on the gopro that gets rid of that fish bowl effect depending on the model called FOV. Or you can edit the video and select "Remove Fisheye"

    Awesome setup! Which rack finish is this? It doesn't look like the "satin black" that's listed on their site.

    Nice. What color? And what do you use for lat pull downs and Tri push downs? Didn’t see anything in your gym. Rogue make the attachment - not sure how if you have tried this.

    Do all Monster accessories, such as the matador, have the UHMW protection on the insides? I know the ML Matador doesn't, so its metal against metal, I'm wondering were the price difference comes from, besides the 1" hardware for equivalent accessories. Thanks for the review!

    so 30" depth for squats and bench is plenty for a 6ft 220 pound person? I've been looking at the 43" racks and now they offer 30" as a choice

  • @2006mrderrickh

    Thanks for the review. You convince me on Rogue products. I spent like 30 hours researching different racks. I was debating on Rogue R4 $1010 2x3 posts vs Fortis 4 $895 3x3 posts. R4 does have Westside spacing and Fortis 4 doesnt, regular 2" spacing. Both have 43" spacing. R4 has 5/8 holes and Fortis 4 has 1" holes. So Fortis 4 accesories are a little bit more expensive.
    I ordered the Rogue Fortis 4 for $895 plus shipping. Its 3x3 post, no westside spacing on it. I bought it bc of the 43" depth. For those who want the Titan HD the depth is only 24" and its $409 on Amazon w/ free shipping. Fortis 4 Rack doesnt look like it has to be bolted down, but if it does ill bolted down.
    The holes are 1" and I like that bc the Safety Strap 2.0 is meant for the Monster Series 1" holes and straps looks easier to use than the Monster Lite Straps meant for 5/8" holes.
    The Fortis 4 comes with the 2 safety pin pipe but I called Rogue and they said I could replace with Safety straps for extra $100. The rack also comes with standard monster J cup but I replaced with Sandwich J cups for extra $110. Sandwich J cups look like they would protect bar a little bit better than standard.
    The Fortis 4 Rack can be upgraded with plate storage for extra $350 and it comes with 8 storage posts. Im going to wait to to buy the extra storage.
    THANKS again for your video reviews. I watched most of your videos which are so helpful and I have subscribed.
    Derrick

    I enjoy all of your product reviews and I absolutely love your gym! We share the same taste in equipment and color choices (my favorite color combination is red and black). I am working into setting up a home gym myself but just can't really afford to spend $3,000 of my $5,000 budget on just the monster rack itself. (I still have a $200 monthly gym membership as well) Do you still go to a crossfit gym or do you only train alone? If I may, roughly how much would it cost someone to have a dream garage gym like yours? Thanks for the reviews, you should be sponsored, and good luck with the new house.

    Awesome set up! I'm pretty jealous. Just wondering why you went with the sornex safety strap system instead of the safety straps rouge makes since they are about $100 cheaper. I bent up the safety bars in my rack doing rack pulls so I've been looking to buy some straps thanks for your time

      well I purchased the sorinex vrsion a few months before the rogue quick adjust version came out. plus I think the sorinex version looks a lot better with the Ferrari red and all. im sure they both work great and will never bend

    What's the max load capacity that this rack can handle?

    • @rnleopando
      @rnleopando  10 лет назад

      well I hear the legs are rated for 25 tons but I have no way of testing that. the weak point is the j cups I would say they can hold a ton or two on their own though

    • @DjKProductions
      @DjKProductions 10 лет назад

      rnleopando Ok, are there not any official figures of the max load that can be placed on the J cups?

    • @rnleopando
      @rnleopando  10 лет назад +1

      the infinity 2" j cups are tested at 1000 lbs. The monster Js are an extra inch wider at 3" and the steel is thicker. so I would guess its significantly more than that

    Hey Pando, would you share the very specific specifications. In the vid you mention that the length of the rack is about 30". Then the plate storage part must be 23"? Is that correct or is it more like 35" and then 18"?
    I am thinking of buying my own, based on your review. If you couldn't tell, lol.
    Oh and, would you change anything about it if you had the chance to order again?

    • @MyGLOBALChurch
      @MyGLOBALChurch 9 лет назад

      +Michael Carter I am curious too. Between shortening the main squating area from 43" to 30" and with shortening the rear horizontal bars that lead to the weight storage I'm hoping I can make it fit too.

    What made you choose this over the Elitefts collegiate rack (as I am sure it is one of the options you weighed before your purchase)?

    • @rnleopando
      @rnleopando  10 лет назад +1

      Hey yes definitely wanted a red/black collegiate but they couldnt cut the rack down to size I wanted. The collegiate had 5/8 inch hardware and was only 11 guage steel. The rm6 was also taller and the shipping was faster as it arrived in 1 week. The safety strap option was also invaluable to me

      Mikeybz this actually is a bit more heavy duty same gauge steel but much larger bolts

    Hi Leo, I am looking at getting either the Rogue Monster of the Monster Lite power rack (in my case either the RM-690 or RML-690). There is a pretty large price difference and for the most part I think the "lite" would be just fine. BUT . . . I cannot get the rev 2.0 safety straps on the Lite (only the Monster). Would you recommend that I bite the bullet and get the Monster? It is about $1000 more and I'm having trouble justifying. Can you help me out with your experience with your rack? Thank You, Tom

    • @rnleopando
      @rnleopando  9 лет назад

      anon ymous im sure rogue will eventually come out with the v2 safety straps. im surprised it didn't come out yet as ML series has more options than the monster. anyways both racks will be more than capable of what anyone can throw at it. keep in mind the monster is 1000$ more and the accessories are also equally as expensive. if you really want the biggest and baddest go for the monster. but the ML will do you just fine and still have enough for a set of premium plates or a great bar (or 2)

    • @Pler1978
      @Pler1978 7 лет назад

      anon ymous the price difference imo is negligible... About two bucks

    Please answerme this question; can you adjust the height of the pull up bars (crossmembers etc)?. My apartment ceiling is high enough for this rack, but I'm 6'3 and I wan to able to do pull ups even if I have to bend my knees.

    • @rnleopando
      @rnleopando  7 лет назад +1

      yes you can, the crossmembers and pull up bar can move up and down both planes along the holes 2 inches up or down
