  • The fluidfreeride MANTIS electric scooter is designed for the demanding rider who wants it all: Swift inner city commutes with strong acceleration, excellent trail performance for those fun weekend rides, large batteries to master up to 50 miles between charges, and still allows carrying in one hand.
    With 61 (base version) to 65 (PRO version) pounds this scooter is the lightest in its class. It folds down easily and is still portable, despite its strong performance.
    Female rider in the Video on the MANTIS base version with 17.5Ah.
    Only available at fluidfreeride....

    I received the Mantis Pro from Fluidfreeride about 10 days ago and it is amazing. The performance, acceleration and overall quality of the scooter is much much better than I ever even expected. I also have the I have had the WideWheel duel motor for several months, but I wanted to upgrade. This Mantis Pro is 10 X better at about twice the price. I look forward to my commute every day now, I love it. And the customer support at FluidFree Ride has been excellent (I’m in no way affiliated with them, just my honest experience!)

    Thanks the video! It is good to see more US-based companies especially with great support. I have owned many 25mph range scooters and would like to add a hyper scooter class. The Dualtrons are just too expensive in my opinion. The Mantis looks like my ideal hyper scooter for powering through San Francisco and tackling 16 miles a day with some lifting to and from the train station. I carry 45lbs-50lbs every day and 60lbs will be fine. Does the folding stem lock down in that position so I can carry it easier?

    I am thinking of getting the Mantis to add to my scooter collection. I have a few scooters that can do 25MPH but would like to enter the hyper scooter market. I also would like my next scooter to handle the rain better than my current scooters. How well would this handle rain? I believe I would have to wrap the throttle display in a plastic bag like I do for my current scooters but everything else looks well protected from water.

      Paul Z Do not ride when the front stem is wobbly as this may put too much strain on the materials. Please contact us via the website with your order number and we will sort you out.

    Hi I was riding this today and to my surprise, the footrest was punching the back mudguard each time I jumped harder or rode on a small hole, or uneven ground. I tried normal and PRO version - both had the same issue and my weight is 85kg / 187 lbs. It says it supports 120 kg - how come?

    How can the pro version go 40mph if it didnt come with 24a battery. 2000w right. 60v x 2000w = 1800kilowattts. I’m saying this because I have a LG 60v 32ah with 2800w for each motor and mine only does 46mph. Makes no sense at all that is a total of 1920kw

      What scooter you got? And what amperage is your controller rated at?

    • @-joo3033

      Because the mantis has 1,8kw/wheel peak power and apparently uses the power much more effeciently...

    Thirty five mph on those tiny wheels? Ah, no! You hit a small branch and - best outcome - you're painting tarmac a lovely skin colour for twenty yards.

      35mph is not fast enough to be wearing gear. 45mph then maybe. Even if you fall you must push through the pain and instantly get back on and ride or the scooter gods will be pissed!

      @@matthewbrown6628 35mph not fast enough?!?!? I fell on my bicycle from a hard sharp turn on some gravel and suffered a concussion because I wasn't wearing a helmet. If the same thing happened going 35mph......it would've been much more serious!

    • @matthewbrown6628
      @matthewbrown6628 4 года назад +1

      @@jessa.3857 I think i commented on this before i got my Mantis.... I weigh 215lbs. and it goes 38-42mph depending on the direction of the wind. Anywayz I ride everyday with no helmet or any kind of gear. That's for pussies! You have to man up and go full speed head first when taking a spill. You have to embrace the pain and push through the pain if you're ever going to grow! Even if it means your skull shattering into pieces and your brains splattered on the pavement.

    Is the Apollo Phanton better than this?

    • @fluidfreeride
      @fluidfreeride  3 года назад

      It’s certainly different. mantis has a little more power and is lighter so more portable. Ride quality is similar, the mantis is a bit more bouncy in its suspension whereas the phantom fees a little more like a tank. Phantom has better lighting package. Check out the virtual consultation or the product pages at fluidfreeride.com for more info.

    Gloves dude. You don't look like your designed for a 15+mph crash. Get better gear

      bfarm44 I was thinking the same. I fell off my 10X at 20mph with gloves and a helmet. Let me tell you. When you’ve lost the skin on your knees and you can see the bone in your elbow, it’s no joke!
