I would like to see an all round view of your trucking day; loading, reversing, driving, hitching. A bit more of a day in the life of! Love the Peterbilt.
Hey man, just started watching nice channel. A trucker myself, I don't get out of the city limits much anymore. Love the discourse on truck stuff and engines. Keep up the good work and keep the rubber side down!✌
Love the song of a good 379 pete!!! Grew up in peterbilts hauling corn, wheat, etc!!! Peterbilts are the ace truck to have, and a great backup is a KW W900!!!!
CAT is the ultimate truck engine. Cummins N14 sounds awesome too but if I were a trucker that drive all around and always on the road I’d want to listen to a high power CAT all day! I drive at a towing recovery company now, I may leave but it’s a job I liked to do since I was a teen so probably not. I’ll love driving and hauling heavy loads and chillin. Sharp truck like you have will do it! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Good to hear you talk in this video, additional footage would be good, like having a camera pointing towards you while you talk to your viewers for example. Or mount your camera on the dash pointing out the windscreen is another place instead of on your chest or forehead. When you're in a rest stop and do your walk around take your camera along as well. Alot of RUclipsrs do this, show us what you do when you're on the road not just driving. Since you're from Canada, what's the difference in driving in the USA compared to Canada. Australia is alot different compared to the USA, we have road trains rated up to 195,000 kg or 195 tonnes. Single trailers and up to quads.
A lot of the highways and stuff are similar to the US, most areas outside of Toronto have light traffic which is nice. There is however fewer truck stops, and a lot of the time I’m relying on the OnRoutes along the 401, some of which have like 14 truck parking spots and you’re lucky to find a spot. Weight limits are higher as well. Canada is 63500kg’s (140000lbs) across the country, whereas the standard weight limit in the US is 80000lbs. I was also just working on a truck walk around video, and it should be up in the next few days, cheers!
You were asking about in the comments if you can hear people have you talked I would rather have you talked and sit there silently explain what's going on you do a great job of driving looking forward to your next videos
Glad you got the Kitty to the vet in time, she,s meowing nice , close on a million miles meowed ,regularly pulling over seventy tons the loaded weight of a Boeing 737. Over in our eccentric little island off the coast of France, we have weedy little sub 9 ,and 12 litre litre Volvo FM 9,s and 12,s nice wagon, does the job but gutless on hills, .Only in our eccentric little island do we have a three speed main box(transmission) ,you are lucky having five gears in the main box of your Eaton Eighteen , need every gear to handle 100,000lbs uphill, hate to a hill start at that weight.
I'm new to your show so a bit late to the party. The Cat doing it's job is good, but a bit of chit chat is good too. Also, I like that you're not afraid to give other trucks a wave, it used to be the normal thing, these days it seems not so much. Anyway, good job...
Engine brakes use the compression in the engine’s cylinders to slow down the truck. They make that loud BWAAAAAH noise when they’re activated. “Jake” brakes are just a brand of engine brakes
Prefer some chat. Where you are going, what you’re carrying, load considerations, local sights that are interesting, route choices, etc. Never ridden with a driver who did not enjoy talking.
hey dude...it would better if you put the cam on the dash..cause you're moving too many times your head..and we can't have a good look on the road....but i like your video..
@@callthemall best model ever, i just started trucking, im 22 years old. I love the classic trucks but the thing is fuel. Can you still make money as owner operator driving the peterbilt or a kenworth? Love your truck man
Thanks, I use google maps to plan my route, like a map book. Never use the gps navigation part of google maps as it cuts down every little no truck road it can find! My favourite feature is definitely satellite and street view, use that all the time, don’t know how guys got around before it! I do have a Garmin truck routed gps in the truck, but again I never rely on it because it takes some really bad routes sometimes too.
I really love it out on the road man, but it surely isn’t for everyone! I’m sure you’ll like it though, are you thinking long haul or staying closer to home?
I want to see more videos brother....if you feel like making one and bullshitting by all means do it .....if you just want to record with no bullshitting and letting is hear that sweet cat purr then have at it .....just dont add music over none of it 😎
Hey yeah I’ve actually seen his vids already, he does some crazy powerful machines! The internals on this engine were built to stay just under 1000 hp as I’m looking to not pay for another engine rebuild in the near future lol
Steve actually passed away, don't quote me on it but I think he died in a trucking accident last year sometime. Seen some talk about it in the cat page on facebook.
Personally, I love a little narrative, but all the “music,” you need is that gorgeous sounding Cat.
Love the sound of that big CAT.... and the Jake brakes sound awesome.
Haha, just chat away brother, a driver myself, several decades, just enjoying seeing you enjoy your work.
I love the Talking about trucking!! Love your videos🔥 drive safe!!
I would like to see an all round view of your trucking day; loading, reversing, driving, hitching. A bit more of a day in the life of! Love the Peterbilt.
I appreciate your comments on the road......and the actual road /engine sounds of the truck! I am new to the channel and am really enjoying it.
Love the talking, great videos, stay safe.

I love the way you talk and drive . Keep it up .
So far all your content has been very good but I really enjoy seeing you backing up doubles.
I think you should do all of it I love the sound of that Pete man
Thanks man 🤘

I like listening to what ya have to say and the cb radio and the sweet truck sounds

I enjoy the talking you do a great job thank you for your videos.
BOTH!!!
I always like to hear commentary.
keep them vídeos coming bro. You can do both. Talking explaining stuff is cool
Thanks man it's much appreciated!

Truck sounds and chatting is good brotha. Maybe explain what your haulin and where your at/going. Love your vids btw
A Little bit of both, the engine sound sweet. Keep rolling...
I agree with what a lot of your other commenters have said, to make the videos anyway you want as it all will be good in the end result.
Good driving skills.... good job
I love listening to the sound of that cat in that Peterbilt
Going through siant lousie is a busy hiway
I'm new to your show so a bit late to the party. The Cat doing it's job is good, but a bit of chit chat is good too. Also, I like that you're not afraid to give other trucks a wave, it used to be the normal thing, these days it seems not so much. Anyway, good job...
I like to hear you talk about the truck and driving best
Hell yeah.!! Nice truck man, sounds sweet. Talkn and truckn lol.. i dont mind truck talk and engine sound , just dont change the view.. 🥃
Good video. I love to listen the music of the engine and Jake brake
Yep, a little chatter and some motor...but music not so much, sounds great with turbo whine and road shots.
Chatting - I always find myself chatting, just ‘cause...
Cheers
Doc
She sounds like a beast bro!!
you got me man..please explain...in what way does the power feel 'different' from before?
It's all good just keep doing what you are doing 👍😁
Love the comments. Do you have a video on how that thing shifts?
Not yet, but I will at some point!
Nice im in school for my cdl right now and have been driving a peterbilt just like that. the one we have has a cummims though
You’ve got a pretty cool driving school then 😎
Nice truck
Nice truck men
The narrative is good
I love Big hood Petes And Cat engines. She sounds good.👍
I like some commentary in there too
my suggestion
just drive the truck and speak freely whatever comes to your mind
truck sounds like a monster over those climbs, oh boy
have fun man
Thanks man 🤟
Sound Beautiful
Very, very good videos...São Paulo, Brazil.
What does the Jake Brake do? What exactly is a Jake Brake? I hear it referenced in a lot of truck videos.
Engine brakes use the compression in the engine’s cylinders to slow down the truck. They make that loud BWAAAAAH noise when they’re activated. “Jake” brakes are just a brand of engine brakes
Keep up the 50/50 ratio 🤔 nice vids
Prefer some chat. Where you are going, what you’re carrying, load considerations, local sights that are interesting, route choices, etc.
Never ridden with a driver who did not enjoy talking.
ATS mod link?
Sounds good
Who's faster truck is it Peterbilt or Kenworth w900? You can compare horsepowers.😏😏😅😅😄😀🤏🤏👉
The Pete has more power 😎
@@callthemall 👍👍👍👌😀👉
She sounds good ! Driver
How do you like that '06 379 with the C-15? Is it generally a reliable setup?
Why do you run so many RPM need to gear that Peterbilt
The sweet spot with this engine and turbo is around 1400-1700 rpm 👍
hey dude...it would better if you put the cam on the dash..cause you're moving too many times your head..and we can't have a good look on the road....but i like your video..
How much did the full rebuild run you?
Just under 50 grand CDN
Sweet video. Do like some chit chat. And some driving videos.
Are your trucks fitted with speed limiters?
Ummm... depends on who’s asking 🤐
But yeah Ontario trucks have to be limited to 105km/h (65mph)
@@callthemall here in the uk our trucks are limited to 56mph. And we get nowhere fast hahaha
😂 oh man that’s brutal!
@@callthemall it really is hahaha.
What year is the truck ? Does it have DEF ? it looks like the new ones haha
2006, no dpf or regen or anything!
@@callthemall best model ever, i just started trucking, im 22 years old. I love the classic trucks but the thing is fuel. Can you still make money as owner operator driving the peterbilt or a kenworth? Love your truck man
So just found your channel. Like your video's. Was wondering do you just use the google maps on your phone or any specific apps or gos?
Thanks, I use google maps to plan my route, like a map book. Never use the gps navigation part of google maps as it cuts down every little no truck road it can find! My favourite feature is definitely satellite and street view, use that all the time, don’t know how guys got around before it!

Thanks man keep the vids going love the peterbilt with cat. I love cat motors sorry there not making trucks motors anymore
Sounds like you are beating the crap out of the truck and you are following too closely.
I’d went single turbo as well.
How do you like it? My engine is running much stronger the more it breaks in
Your truck or company truck?
My truck, so far it’s been pretty expensive...
Hoping to be a trucker this year man. Can't stand this retail pay.
I really love it out on the road man, but it surely isn’t for everyone! I’m sure you’ll like it though, are you thinking long haul or staying closer to home?
@@callthemall long haul.
I would say a little chat but a little more cat!😃
HELLO THERE! CAN I EMAIL YOU?
pure truck sound would be best
You own it?
Yeppers! It’s been a bit of an ...expensive... investment so far... lol
Both go Driver.
MORE Turbo, cat ENGINE, & Jake brake works 4 me commentary doesn't hurt once in awhile either
Thanks man 👍👍
I prefer some narrative of what your hauling and where you are and so on. Just watch you drive with no narrative “BORING”.
I want to see more videos brother....if you feel like making one and bullshitting by all means do it .....if you just want to record with no bullshitting and letting is hear that sweet cat purr then have at it .....just dont add music over none of it 😎
Thanks man! I like letting the truck do the talking too, just don’t want anyone to get bored of it haha
@@callthemall my opinion is ....do what makes you happy ,not anyone else 😎
Solid advice 🤘
You should take the cat up to Steve Bradford he's on RUclips look him up he's real good with a cat engine
Hey yeah I’ve actually seen his vids already, he does some crazy powerful machines! The internals on this engine were built to stay just under 1000 hp as I’m looking to not pay for another engine rebuild in the near future lol

A bit of both to be honest
Talk jake brake. Amd more
