Important notice: As I'm just about to go to work for a long shift today I am releasing this video a little earlier before it has actually finished processing. So initially only the 360px version will be available. In a couple hours RUclips will hopefully have it processed completly and then HD will also be available. I simply want to avoid that you don't have this video available by the time the 737 releases. So apologies for it being 360px at first, it will become HD as soon as RUclips has processed the video!
Overall tremendous detail much appreciated! I do not claim to be a great aviator like Sully Saltzburger, nor great movie producer like Norman Speilburg, but would humbly note that from a production standpoint, the views of the controls between 8:27 vs 8:06 are like day and, not cranking my neck at 315 degrees to decipher the blurry Egyptian hieroglyphs. Don't mean to be an armchair quarterback, but you are so close to being the ultimate 737 guide on internet!
@@A330Driver I did but it may help.others and get you more views if you post a link to the playlist in the description. Just trying to help a fellow youtuber. Great videos .
Wonderful video yet again sir! I wonder why RYR still turns on the wing fuel pumps very early, as in during preflight, like Southwest and what Boeing used to do, until waiting until before engine start when it is needed? Danke!
I know at Southwest, the FO does walkaround but the CA does most of the overhead so it doesn't really matter for SWA, but they still turn on the pumps regardless.
For some odd reason when I use the aPDMG 737-700 addon my systems video crashes. No other aircraft do it. I’m going to test it without the Navy P8 skin.
In your taxi tutorial I saw that you had your autobrakes on rto but I skipped back here and it seems like you didn't include it in this, when would you put the autobrakes on?
mmh, I might have forgotten them in this one. You'd set them to RTO as part of the Preflight Procedure. Basically at the same time you reset the fuel flow.
Hi Capt, May i know why CTR tank fuel pumps low pressure light extinguished while main tank fuel pumps low pressure light illuminate when all the fuel pumps switches are turned off during preflight check?
Thank you very much for all of your videos! I'm watching the all the play list filling pages and pages of my personal notes about what your are teaching us. Really appreciated. Anyway I have a question about IGN: you say it should be set to "Both" for very cold days. What do you mean for "cold"? Could you give us an example temperature you use as reference? Thanks again!
Would it be possible to see the flight model tested "to the extreme" :) ? Like stalls, trying to spin it, auto slats deployment close to stalling, split flaps if the failure is available, overspeed "flutter" ? Unusual attitude recoveries basically nose up/down ? :)
I've done a bit of it in my upcoming video, at least in terms of steep turns. I don't see a lot of sense doing stuff like deep stalls, spins, large overspeed, etc. MSFS, just like neither X-Plane or P3D, is not made to simulate the extremes of flight models. Indeed not even full flight simulators cover all these aspects. Thus I woulnd't expect accurate results in these conditions either. The base sim isn't programmed to simulate the extremes of the flight model, so addons will naturally not be able to get them right either.
Aw man, thats too bad :( Still, i'd be cool to see what it does :) will it completely loose its marbles or do something aproximating reality :) Cool that steep turns will be shown.
What is a squawk code of 2000? It's been a long time since I've flown IRL, so maybe it's new, or maybe it's a European thing, but I have never heard of it.
I was wondering...is the ram air enough to spin up a cold engine from a standstill, no wind present ? Just to see if it would work, i tested this in the the ngxu in p3d, i took of on one engine (a big no no i know) but the engine didn't start spinning up, i also wanted to exclude the wind in that test so i set it all to 0. Im wondering if this behavior is still present here ? The engine should start windmilling right ? There could be no core lock becouse the engine was cold from the beginning of the test.
If with ram air you mean the wind, then totally yes. It won't spin fast enough for engine start when the airplane stands on the ground however. In flight, with the speed over 300kt the ram air is sufficient for engine start.
Exactly, basically i took off on one engine in still air to see if a cold, completely stopped engine would start windmilling, in the p3d ngxu it didn't. I did the test just for the hell of it, just to see if some physics weren't canned in some way :) and i was wondering if the msfs version had that problem as well :)
Some people report it, the majority doesn't. I'm currently unable to recreate those audio issues, on my side the videos sound fine. Could you tell me on which device you're watching the videos? I tried my desktop computer, my iPad and my iPhone and on all three it sounds fine.

I tried to show things from the perspective where most users would see them. 2D panels are so much a thing of FS2004 times...
@@A330Driver Kinda miss those. Plenty of freeware FSX aircraft still only ship with 2D panels since not everyone is a 3D cockpit modeler....
Thank you very much, from this video I finally understood what values to set before takeoff and why. Thank you!

Hi, if you have pressure in the lines it's easier to detect leaks. That goes for both, hydraulic and fuel.
@@A330Driver Thanks for the answer! I think that's why United has the fuel pumps on during the walkaround. They sure do sound cool.
