@@ErickRicardo i would recommend going for the 13!
I do not believe people should upgrade phones every 2 years or less. There isn’t any justification at this plateau of tech innovation. 3-4 years seems more reasonable.
If i own an iPhone 12, i will never buy an iPhone 14. Same phone, almost same notch, same refresh rate. Total non sense, if your iPhone 12 is still working. If you have battery issues, you can replace your battery on Apple Store for few $.
Yeah, this is my first time switching from Android to IOS, just bought 12 during the sales here in India and to be honest I'm not disappointed at all.. Also I switched because I wanted to try something new and and wanted an OS that's simpler and easy to use.. still huge downside on not being able to provide a charging adapter because if you are selling them what's the point in being able to say you are doing this for the environment..
I have the 12 and i wanna buy the 13 because i have the 64gb for the 12 while base model of 13 is 128gb. And buying the 13 because it’s significantly like the 14, and also have a better battery life
I recently upgraded from the 2020 iPhone SE which was my first iPhone to the iPhone 12 and I’m loving it so far. The main complaint I had with the iPhone SE was battery life and I love not having to worry as much about it. Been thinking about getting the 14 plus next year for the all day battery life but I’m still on the fence
I’m still satisfied with my 12 and not going to upgrade until 2024. I just regret that I have chosen the blue, but that was the first covid year and I couldn’t have a look at the colors in real life as stores were closed. Maybe I’ll get a skin, I don’t like cases.
Definitely did this via trade-in promotion. Unfortunately the Pros weren’t in stock, so I guess you could say it was an impulse thing, but it is worth it to me. Brightness new camera features, etc. decent upgrade if you ask me 🤷🏾♂️
I’m currently using an iPhone SE 2nd Gen (2020) with 128GB of storage and 91% battery health. Even when it was brand new, my battery life was awful 🪫 I’m trying to decide between the iPhone 14 with 128GB ($829) or the iPhone 12 with 256GB ($779). Battery, camera, and budget are basically my only concerns 💸
Hi Nick The Non-Pro Model of iPhone 13 & 14 is similar except for higher RAM in iPhone 14. I will wait till next year to upgrade when iPhone 15 comes out.
i bought my iPhone 12 this year..not in the mood of upgrading until next year or so.. loving the phone n it's not much of a difference in iPhone 14 for me ... n also bought the apple watch series 8 n it's awesome too
I recently just upgraded from the iPhone 11 to the iPhone 14. I will say it’s a great phone, the iPhone 14 Pro would have been nice, but the regular 14 is still amazing!
I think the upgrade isn't worth it, id say 12 to 14 pro would be worth it but not for the base model 14. The base model 12, 13 & 14 have just been to similar to upgrade, the pro models on the other hand have had a decent jump.
I might stick with my iPhone 12 even though the battery is bad but it would be nice to get the 14 mainly for the battery and it has the iPhone 13 Pro cameras in the 14 if I got the money for it I would buy the 14
Very nice comparison video as always, Nick. I recently obtained an iPhone 13 mini (midnight, of course) and I'm perfectly happy with its physical design and features. I see no reason to upgrade to the 14 series. I'll put off upgrading until at least the iPhone 15 in September of 2023...perhaps not even then.
i have my yellow 14 plus coming💛 i’ve had my 11 for about 3 years now but my sister got it when it launched so it’s definitely going to be a great to have a change✨
I'm upgrading my 12 when apple comes up with a very different phone. Like the change between 5S to 6 and iPhone 8 to X. I think I will upgrade my 12 when notchless iPhone comes.
No reason to get the 14 if you care about your money. I'd buy a refurbished 11 or Xs Max for a fraction of the price and basically get the same experience. Then when the 15 becomes cheaper get that one. (Hopefully with some actual big changes)
I think people shouldn't upgrade their phones every year or two years. You're really not gonna get a totally different feeling if the camera is a tad better or if the display is a bit brighter. Paying 1000 bucks for an upgrade like that is nuts in my opinion. Just save some money and the environment by waiting say 3 or 4 years when buying the newest model again.
I have normally done this in the past. However, maybe because of sales, AT&T offered my $700 for my iPhone 12 making the 14 only $199. I was going to wait longer but my 12’s battery had degraded much faster than I anticipated. Traveling often, it was becoming too much of a hindrance.
Hi Nick. I have the Iphone 6s and I've been using the Iphone 6s for many many years. In fact, since the Nokia, it is the only other phone I've ever had. When my Iphone 6s broke, i bought the same phone again from Ebay. But it's 2023 now and I really want a new phone. I'm thinking of getting the Iphone 12. To you, Iphone 12 might seem disappointing, but to me, wouldn't an Iphone 12 be amazing? I don't have the budget really for an Iphone 14 (I suppose I could save up but it will take me a while). I just want to know, does Iphone 12 have a better battery life than the Iphone 6s? I could charge my iphone 6s over night, i wake up it's 100% however it can drain rapidly to 20% very fast, like an hour if i'm taking photos or i'm on tiktok. Would iphone 12 hold out better for me?
I noticed one difference in both as I upgraded just now, apps on iphone 14 shows a little larger than the iphone 12 or may be their structure or appearance, on iphone 14 app touches to notch and sometimes hide behind the notch. No problem with iPhone 12
60hz Display, USB 2.0, Notch and barely customizable Software. It's more than enough for everyday usage, but a phone from 4-5 years ago, will do it too, if you aren't constantly rendering videos or playing games, which need the power. The shocking part is, that on the android side of things you can get long lasting phone (up to 5 years of software support) from Google and Samsung for cheaper (Pixel 6a; 449$-> compatible specs to the iPhone 14) and they doesn't get the credit they deserve.
I’m looking into the iPhone 12 because my sister is gonna get me one next year, she bought me the iPhone 7 have it so for about say 4yrs now, heard some phone are getting discontinued and was curious.
to be honest, i've been thinking about upgrading from a samsung a52 to an iphone. although, i'm kinda torn between the 12 and 13 mini since here they're both somehow very similarly priced with being less than 40ish dollars in difference. but it is still a costly one since well... i have a midrange samsung and i bought a midrange samsung for a reason. and yes, i do want an iphone that can last me for at least 3 years before ever considering of another upgrade lol.

Even if they add 90hz it would be a hit
