as a fan of AOT, I think this song really captures the feelings of Eren and what he is going through mentally. What a great song for the show and I think only SiM could pull this one off.
Oh and you will find out where all the Titans come from! It's pretty insane what happens. Also, if you are a fan of Anime, you should check out the Opening to Platinum End done by Band Maid. They aren't hard metal, but are in my opinion, the best rock band out there. The song is called Sense. The video is amazing, with a lot of imagery to the anime.

In a more metaphorical way it could mean that the knife is the rumbling and eren didn't want to use it but he didn't have a choice.
