I as a 68 year old male on a fixed income love the eye cream! It has peptides and is great for only 10 dollars, I find Olay has gotten a bit pricey for a drugstore skincare line!
I agree, Oil of Olay products have really gotten expensive! I do love these videos to see what the best bang for our buck is at the drugstore! 😊

I agree - Olay has out-priced itself as far as I’m concerned as well as other so-called drug store products. Besides that, Olay comes out with a new gimmick product every couple of months.
And alot of their products have fragrance which can be irritating. For that price - the audacity!!!!

Yes! I have similar skin concerns and would love to know how to layer for multiple skin problems. And please some videos about eyes: do we need sunscreen around the eyes? Can we mix anti darkness and anti aging eye creams for those who suffer from wrinkles and dark circles?

I have to say that I used Holy Hydration Cream ( no fragrance ) during the day and the melting cleansing balm and I really freaking loved them, and ELF doesn’t send me anything just I want to share my affordable holy grail 😅😅

I love your channel! I’m an RN and I have watched several videos and have tried many of your product recommendations/routines. I really appreciate the science behind your recommendations. I definitely want to try the ELF day cream with SPF. I’m 43, and although I’ve always been into skin care I’m now developing a solid “routine”. One of my coworkers said my skin was glowing! The cleansing balm is amazing, I use it every night as a first step and it gets rid of the Australian gold tinted sunscreen as well as waterproof mascara and then follow with Cleen beauty face wash

I like this format of trying out a line of products from a certain brand. You mentioned you don’t use the e.l.f. face cream on retinoid nights, which moisturizer do you use (Aveeno intensive night cream)? Please review and do a video on Naturium. I would love your honest opinions about the following products in this line: Vitamin C Complex Serum, Vitamin C Super Serum Plus, Retinol Complex Serum, Retinol Complex Cream, Alpha Arbutin Serum 2%, BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2%, Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream. Did you see Dr Dray's review video? A lot of skincare folks have pretty much chosen to avoid commenting on this brand after the controversy. Dr Dray only did it because she kept getting asked about on her social media.
Great suggestion! Thanks! On nights I use my retinoid, I really like to use the La roche posay double repair moisturizer. It does NOT have Hyaluronic Acid which is an ingredient I do not recommend using with retinoids.

I’m not too familiar with the ELF products but I think the moisturizer looks interesting for the price point. I have used Cetaphil for years for my face wash and have recently been using Cerave’ and neither one have let me down. 😊❤️
The cleansing balm the cleanser and the Holy Hydration moisturizer with no fragrance is fabulous!!

The fragrance in the gel cleanser is fr too harsh for my sensitive skin!

Elf Hydro Balm is really great!!! It even cleans off eye makeup which is a super plus!!!
The sleeping mask is THE BEST for dry skin. It is an almost exact dupe for LeMer in my opinion. So good!
ELF has many great skincare products with niacinamide, ceramides, and peptides.
I do wish ELF would make more skincare products that are fragrance-free.
I like the fragrance-free Holy Hydration as a night cream, and it would be great if they also made the Holy Hydration SPF 30 in a fragrance-free version.
ELF Superhydrate with Squalane is great as a daytime moisturizer before sunscreen - it doesn’t pill under sunscreen like Holy Hydration did.
Definitely appreciate ELF creating affordable skincare with science-proven ingredients.
Much of the ELF makeup is great too.

I keep my face clean of course, but did not focus on all the other products such as balms, essences, etc. I have been looking for a good quality affordable morning facial moisturizer, and I found that and more from this video. On my other RUclips videos, when I am trying to really educate on a topic, I write down ALL the points I want to make and lay out exactly the order I want to say them so it's easy to follow along and understand. Is your focus mostly for acne prone skin? I'd like to see more anti-aging skin care for over 50 years old.

I LOVE talking about anti-aging! Acne affects about 80% of people so it does get a lot of attention on my channel. However....anti-aging is more pertinent to a lot of mature skin people! I am working on more anti-aging content soon. What do you want to see in specific? let me know!

I love a good budget friendly skin product but what about ingredients? Fragrance? These are things I need to know when choosing a skincare product/ watching a product review.

Good point. Was trying to keep this video short! My favorite from this line is the fragrance free version of the holy hydration cream. The fragrance in a few of the other products is very subtle. They are a vegan, clean skincare brand as well!

That holy hydration daily cleanser is the only wash that I can scrub into my closed eyes and it doesn't burn at all. I do try to use a gentle hand and not pull the delicate skin. Guess I need to get the balm now. I use the spf day holy hydration cream too. I let it set before putting on makeup. I just bought their solid brush cleaner and it is a game changer for me. Works so well! Thanks for all of your great content!

I am really glad I found your channel. I have tried the Elf cleansing balm and like in! Very similar to Clinique’s take the day off just more affordable. I look forward to trying the other things in this line. I just ordered L’Oréal’s Retinol serum based on your recommendation. Can’t wait to try it. I am 54 and have tried a whole lot of different skin care. Always appreciate the more affordable options. Thank you!

I've seen these in my local Walmart and have been super tempted to try them, but with the cheap price point, I thought they wouldn't be effective. Is it weird to think that? I have a tendency to try out a lot of skin care, but like another comment I've seen on here, some if the drugstore skin care lines have gotten expensive, like Olay and L'Oreal. It's weird to see that some lines at Sephora are less expensive, like The Inkey List and The Ordinary. But now that you have made this video about ELF, I am super happy and will definitely get them, because I totally trust you with my 51 year old skin :)

I've been loving the Oat Cleansing Balm from Inkey List, I wonder how this compares. I do love the ELF Holy Hydration products I've tried so far.
I haven't tried the inkey list one! I am loving this elf one just as much as the one I was previously using which was more expensive!
Aveeno also has an Oat Cleanser in their Calm and Restore line that is really nice and gentle.

I can’t use the elf holy hydration. It flares my rosacea. Was so disappointed I couldn’t use after all I’ve heard about it.

I can't use it either, but I have sensitive skin. My facial skin finds it irritating. I feel certain it's the fragrance, because I am finishing it up on my hands with no problem

Depends on the individual. Some people have no problem with chemical sunscreens and their eyes while others do.

I'd like to know what products are good for me. I'm 60 years old but I still get acne, my problem is that in other parts of my face I'm dry. Please help.
I have similar issues, I’m 59 and have acne (I can be sensitive as well). I have tried the holy hydration cream and this works well for me. I haven’t tried the other ones she’s mentioned yet. But, will try some of them especially at this price point.
I recently tried Curology (online service)and having great success with my acne, plus this includes anti aging medication as well. I hesitated for some time going the Curology route (it averages about $20 a month) but couldn’t get my acne under control even using Tretinoin (a prescription Retin A) alone so felt it worth the try. It can be really frustrating to have acne with aging/dry skin. I know.
I hope you find success in your endeavors as well
I haven't tried any of that but every time I use things that are for dry skin I end up being one big pimple. 🙂
Loving the Elf cleansing balm but wish it was fragrance free
yes! The fragrance is really subtle to me. It is less noticeable than the previous one I was using by Versed which I liked as well.
I almost am going to buy the elf makeup cleansing balm till I see polyethylene in its ingredients, which is regarded as bad for the marine life and water sources.
Could you please recommend another budget alternative? Thank you!

Thanks for the video. Don't use them but nice to see an eye cream that doesn't have the exact same ingredient deck as the moisturizer. How about checking out acure, cosrx, urban skin rx, and pacifica's fragrance free line (all at Target). Pacifica seems to be getting the message that not everyone wants products with a bunch of fragrance.

I purchased the hydration serum and holy hydration cream after seeing this video. I'm wondering how to incorporate into my routine please. I can't use straight retinol due to migraines but can use neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair or olay retinol 24 each night and not sure the order to use please? Thanks in advance ☺
I bought the ELF cleansing balm. I like it a lot it's certainly a better price than the Clinique cleansing balm but the fragrance is just really strong. I do not know why they have to add a fragrance?! If they didn't have the fragrance I would give this balm 5 stars but the fragrance makes it a 4.

Hi! I often watch your videos. I wish you would go through the ingredients of the moisturizers and why "don't' you use it on the nights that you use tretenoin? I thought that one should use a carrier cream when using tretenoin for their night time routine. Thank you.

I tried the cleansing balm, and I loved the effect, but I could not get past the fragrance. I had to wash my face two times with my 2nd cleanser to get rid of it. I use the fragrance free cream on some nights I don’t use retinoid (and to cut the cost of my Drunk Elephant peptide), and the eye cream on nights I don’t use Avenue. But I can’t use any of the other products in this line because of the fragrance. I wish they would just make it all fragrance free!
