Greatly enjoyed that wee walkabout, Shaun. Very interesting to us Yanks, the side-by-side shared history, the vinyl tortoises, the relative calm of a small town in the countryside. As you know, all of our old structures are either Spanish or indigenous-made, some still well in use and resided in, others in beautiful ruin. Santa Fe boasts the Palace of the Governors built in 1610 and is still in use, and Sky City, also in New Mexico, has been continuously inhabited since the 1100's. I've been to both several times as well as Mesa Verdé and many other indigenous sites. The UK remains quite fascinating to me for all the history and the amazing places I've seen only in travelogues such as yours. Thanks again and look forward to more of your sojourns. Great to see Colin in the wings as well!
