    I'm so thankful ma'am. No one has taught me with this clarity. Group theory was always a horror to me, I wasn't able to find even point groups, but I am so surprised that I'm making improvements now. Tons of thanks to you ma'am.😍😍

    In this character table u written H20 's symmetry element C2 ,plane xz,plane xy it's wrong mam.bcoz in privious u said C2'z ,plane xz, plane yz

      Yes bro in water molecule there is no present XY plane as mentioned coordinates..

    To know the values of subscripts 1 and 2 or u and g you considered Sigma xz as milecular plane, but if we consider Sigma yz as moleculer plane then the subscripts of row 2 and 3 will swap. What would be its effect on molecular properties if we consider Sigma yz as the molecular plane.

    11:02 The symmetry element of H2O doesn't contain sigma xy; it'll be sigma yz. So in that case, how can we figure out which among the two will be the molecular plane while writing the subscript 31:05?

    Mam in C4v poin group...it contains both primary axis and secondary axis....but in its Mulliken symbol...the subscript 1 and 2 added with respect to its sigma v plane and not w.r.t. it's C2 axis...why?

    What is the point of giving the 1, 2 subscript as well as the ', '' superscript? Since they both depend on the symmetry of the molecular axis, one with 1 will always be ' and one with 2 will always be ''.
