5 years later and this video is still saving lives. I'm a first-year grad student taking inorganic for the second time going back to my senior year of undergrad, and this is by far the most easily followable, clear explanation regarding both the chemical theory and math behind character tables I've ever seen, especially when the current prof can't organize the class or explain topics for shit. My friend, you are doing a service to students of all levels with these guides!!
I'm so glad to hear this
Wish you all the best for your preparation
What a man who make a student to understand within 30 mins which was not understand after attending 6 hours class 😅😊very useful
Thank you for this video. Im about to take my Inorganic final in 12 hours and this helped fill in the gaps from lecture. You're a lifesaver, keep making more videos!
Thank you very much! You're explaining in a very easy to understand way. I turly appreciate all the effort you're exerting in this channel.
I’ve watched upwards or 6 videos explaining irreducible representations in group theory, and this is by far the best explanation. Thank you!
Thank you so much 😊
You are incredible. I was struggling with finding easy to digest information without a ton of random other things I dont need. I feel so prepared after watching this, thank you!!!
Dude you are saving me! You're so good at explaining this stuff, my textbook is worthless! Thank you!
thank you so much! we're doing this in my advanced inorganic class and it's so confusing, but watching your video was very helpful!
Thank you sooo so much. 10 hours of studying didn't do what skipping through a 30 min video did.
Awesome explanation. Really helped me a lot. Thank you so much!!!!!!
you really helped me understand what i didnt understand within 7 minutes, i love u
I didn't really understand this so far , but thank you so much , feel so confident after watching your videos sir . So grateful to you .
thank you very much... lectures always seem long, winding, and confusing to me but this one worked miracles and I actually watched the whole thing! I am confident I'll do well on my exam, thank you thank you thank you
So clear solution, any body can understand with the help of your video...thanks sir...
Thank you ...a good time saving shot!
Thank you for this video!!! Super helpful, keep up the great work man!

Great lesson, thanks for the share
good concept . I'm studying in IISER.and now I get the good concept
Its really good and helpful for beginners thank u
Thank you so much sir..it is so much helpful for poor students who can't afford coaching fee🙏thanks a lot sir
Thanks you so much sir my coaching teacher was not able to explain me character table but you made it so easy. thanks a lot sir
You're the real father of Chemistry
Heartily thank you @All 'bout Chemistry
Thank you very much!
sir ,for rotational mode it is IR inactive
is it cirrect?
Very useful video. Thank you
Thanks guys, this is so coooooool!!!!
From tamilnadu
Easy understanding sir.....
You r life saver sir thank u😢
Thank u very much sir...Simply awesome sir
Thank you 😊
Sir make videos regularly ,,in your each video we learn concept in depth.
Thank you Shaswat, I'm trying to be regular and post atleast one video per week.
Thanks for the video bro
sir there is a question wherein a charectertable is given, n d qustn is “if the initial amd final states belong to A1 and B1 irred representation respectivley, the allowed electronic transition from A1 to B1 is 1. z-polarised 2. y-polarised 3. x polarised 4. x,z polarised.....
can any1 plz help me in this question?
Hi sir, thank you very much for your helping videos... could you please explain how to read 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectrum in depth?
I have an exam on them next week.
Kind Regards,
Dear sir,
Very useful one... Thank you sir..one doubt -Y u put -1 for C2 in contribution per atom , second table...kindly explain...sir
Thank you ...Nice explanation
Thank you so much once again dear bro , keep uploading remaining concepts of group theory, which may be asked by csir.
Alright 👍
Sir.... Is this useful for iit jam
Thank you very much sir thsi was very helpful 🤲🏾🙏🏿
Very helpful thank you sir
Thank you sir very nice explanation please solve character table problems related to other point group plz
Thank you sir ,ur teaching very easy to follows
you're welcome :)
Very useful video bro, thank u so much, before I am watch this video , I will go to my semester exam, and truly I will get pass
Nicely explain sir❤
How can I determine which IR mode is symmetric stretching??
this is amazing thank you
Will u explain the same in terms of transition moment integral.
Hi I have messaged for an enquiry about csir net. There are only two options one is Jrf and other is LS. I need to know suppose I have opted jrf and couldn't secure it's cutoff will I be eligible for LS
Hello sir, what if quadratic function is present only in A1 and absent in B1? Will it be still Raman active? Or just one of the term has to have quadratic function?
Thank you for the video.
It should be present in any of them A1 or B1. In the case taken in this video luckily we got quadratic function in both of them. Bt if it would have been absent in B1 but present in A1 then also it would be Raman Active.
Thank you so much!!!
I don't have any expaining columns in my table and I have omega and omega^2 in my table and also a 3. Are the columns always the same in all tables or I don't understand. My whole table is just this:
V0 1 1 1 1
V1 1 w w^2 1
V2 1 w^2 w 1
V3 3 0 0 -1
where V0, ..., V3 are representations denoting the rows and I am asked to give the decomposition of the representation EndC(V3) into irreducible components. Pls help.
SSir, can u make example for point group that has character table of plane at xy?? because I dunno how to imagine the plane
best explanation of character table
Thanks a lot sir.
Nice explanation sir.
Thank you 😊
Thanks so much!
Great job mahn..👍
thank you :)
Very helpful indeed
Thanku sir...easy explanation..
Thanks you...
Share this video with your friends too.. 😊
Thank you sir. i'm happy
Thank you thank you thank you sooo much sir😊
you're welcome :)
Thanks teacher should be like u
Your video was good. Just a correction that it is translational modes not transational. Translational modes arise when molecules move in a particular direction. Secondly you didn't explain how to look for the number of IR modes and Raman modes. I was looking for that in your video.
Thank u so much sir...
Thank you very much
Great sir
Very nice explation
There are 2A1+B1 in vibrational modes, but finally while we are seeing it and Raman we have One A1 and one B1. How to correlate 3 vibrational modes from irreducible rep to 3 vibrational modes, that is for 2A1
Sir,can i suggest a video on miller indices...part please
Basics of thermodynamics😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that's too important....well explanation thank you sir
Superb explanation
Thank you 😇
Thank you sir
Is the value for the contribution of character per unshifted atom same for all the character tables(various point groups) in case of identity, inversion and reflection? or does it depend on the total number of atoms in the molecule?
Contribution per atom remains same, but the value of number of unshifted atom changes depending upon the molecule
@@AllBoutChemistry thank you so much for the clarification
Thank u so much sir
thanq very much sir
Can u please derive a character table for BF3?
