I saw him 4 times live, and I’ve seen a lot of live acts. He was by FAR the best performer I have ever seen. His passing hit me hard. RIP Prince
A part of me went with him 4-21-16😭
I saw him several times. What really hurts is the last time I saw him was the Welcome 2 America tour. Every year I'm reminded that I last saw 4/21/11 5 years to the day of his death. I have the super deluxe lp of that tour but I can't bring myself to take the cellophane off and listen to it or watch the concert. I wanted to go to Coachella but didn't have the money. He was a great musician and performer.

With Coachella being such a diverse crowd, I love the fact that so many probably had no idea what they were about to witness.
I was 28 at the time, I was mostly there for the rock and electronic acts. I knew very little about Prince other than his radio hits but I was blown away.
Such a musical genius!! I miss him so much! ?🎶💜

I get an out-of-body experience every time I hear that version of “Creep” … can’t quite get over the way he squeezes every drop of emotion and atmosphere, space and echo just to the right degree … to hit those nerve endings and wring the pathos out of this song.
Radiohead must be really happy with the respect he gave to this great piece of work … taking it to a level of performance that seals Prince’s “legendary” status as one of the performing “greats” … the man you would ring to deliver the ultimate guitar solo.

His guitar was out of this world I have seen him over 8 times and he always kept changing the versions of his songs, all fantastic versions a true and irreplaceable artist, there will never be another genius like him, I miss you Prince! Hearing you live was a trip to heaven

I had the privilege of attending his Purple Rain tour concert. Wish I could have seen him again.

This performance of Creep is absolutely mesmeric. There has always been great discussion regarding Prince's greatest guitar solo. The Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame performance is rightly talked about, Purple Rain in Syracuse in '85 and many more, but I haven't seen anything that tops the third solo in Creep here, it's just mind-blowing. It starts around 55:00. There is a direct soundboard recording of the Creep performance available elsewhere on YT and it has great sound being a soundboard recording.
