MrFsxgeek Also you might want to try the FTL Shells. They travel at speeds faster than light, bend spacetime, travel through a wormhole and hit the target in the past before he takes off.
Gled ShadowBroker What about 152mm FTL-L-CS (Faster Than Light Laser Cannon Shells)? :) They are traveling so fast and they are so big that destroys the light itself!

Yup. I highly recommend getting a more powerful computer if you can afford it. This game is very pretty on higher settings.

It's been a minute for me, but open the test flight window, then at lower left, you should see an icon saying edit, click that, and this takes you to options to change aircraft you will fight, or ground targets, or what have ya. You can choose many things there. then save or click go. I forget which. I don't have it open to see it. I may make a video about it. I have anew way to stream and upload. Right now been working on American Truck Simulator.

Now I've started to learn how to aim I like stealth rounds on my spitfire as it makes it harder for my oppents to counter

Gaijin you get my kudos for your video tutorials (though they are a bit frantic i.e. fast paced). But even as a newb, I can re-watch them and so they are appreciated. Thanks for getting this aspect of the game right for your game players.

I didn't know any of this and just aimed at the marker whenever i was aiming at an enemy. Lots of useful information in this video, good job! ( I'm new to the game, started playing after watching a few Jingles' videos, so sim players, don't judge me)
Russian plane are good for new player go for it
Go for sim battle you will have a very good feeling after you kill a ememy

Lost it when the said you need AP for B-17s. They can be killed by a single 7.7 tracer bullet. Please buff B-17s.
to be honest, the B-17 is heavily armed, not armored, there's difference, you can actually push your finger through the hull of the B-17 because it's made of aluminium, so a 7.7 can wreck the planes shit if they hit the right spots

no, the pilot can be killed with a single bullet.
increase his vitality and see the difference that makes :)
One thing I’ve learned when shooting with the aim assist or indication .
Is when your aiming and you line your crosshairs with the lead circle.
And shoot, like you said, the bullets will actually fall short or behind.
The way I’ve learned to counter this and still use to your benefit is, do not line up your crosshairs with the circle .
But you want to try to place your bullets in that circle,
So get use to shooting and judging with tracers where your shots go and then place your shots inside that circle and you will rip them apart no problem.

he doesnt really go into shell velocity. if you're 600m away lead significantly, if 400m lead slighlty and then right on the indicator at 300m. this varies slightly with different ammo/gun types. if theyre turning toward you aim inside the indicator. All while still compensating for gravity which has a greater affect at longer ranges. its all quite complicated.
Just changing the convergence to 500 was crazy effective

It appears to be very likely for many rear-gunners on bombers today. For some reason, they can shoot over 2klms away, with a very tight, laser like stream of bullets with no drop off or curving, as the shells loses speed, and can always hit either the pilot or the engine without fail with pin-point accuracy. Why is that Gaijin? The rear-gunners on my bombers, even with ACE gunners cannot pull that off.
Hey war thunder, just a quick question, in the custom battle, mission to train aerobatic teams, would you be able to get planes and tanks in that, so people can watch from the ground. Also maybe try adding bomber first person? Thanks!

Der Sheriff the aiming is the same as SB, but they did include what apeared to be a sim battle with that corsair.

I believe I've killed someone from 9 km away before. By complete accident. I was randomly shooting and happened to see an enemy WAY in the distance and started shooting off random rounds super high and infront of them and ended up actually killing them. Don't have the replay anymore because of the new update : /
Did that in my B-34 accidentally fired rounds at high attitude and 30 or so seconds later i got a aircraft destroyed message after watching the reply apparently one shell hit the dudes pilot in the head and knocked him out from 8 km away

I don't get it. I aim a little bit infront of the aim reticle, when a play turns I aim infront of the wings. I get 0 kills every game and come 9th to 13th in every battle with only about 300-400 damage dealt. I don't know what I'm doing wrong

I have a question if im flying a A36 it has 2 weapons on the nose and on the wings but do i need VT? It is tje same kaliber 12,7 mm ? Or do i have to turn it on because it has to compensate tve 2 weapons on the nose ?
It's hard for me to lead my guns in the F2 cause of the very high speeds my shots usually don't hit and there's on tracer on the cannons so any tips for leading with them?
I would love to know of a way to have a Practice Air target mode in the game that would help me improve my aiming skill. I have tried test Flight and the game seems much different that realistic mode no matter how i increase the skill settings of the AI.

Does plane speed, alt, wind direction and speed (if there is any), and temperature effect the transitional velocity of the bullet?

Speed of your and enemy plane change the way of aim ...
If you are flying slower than your oponent you have to aim further
and if you are flying faster you are aiming closer

I only get 'default' 'universal' 'tracers' and 'stealth'
Different planes have different ammo belt types, it just so happens that the Bearcat gets a ground targets belt
im saying this here because i don't know how to talk on the war thunder page...
i think the best way to use soldiers is that they are able to cap just about as soon as they run in, but the thing is there AI and you use armoured transports to take them to the cap points...

Good luck using the front turret on the He 111h3, it's just there for show, never fires, even when you try it manually.
Today I got 17 plane kills in AB thanks to you
when I played arcade, I was already aware that the lead marker was wrong. I had noticed that it is only effective for hitting the middle and rear, so I always fired in front of it
It also doesn't compensate for ping, so if you have bad ping you will miss if you aim at the marker
Don't use vertical targeting, it doesn't work properly. I set my guns to no convergence, I've tried 600 500 400 300m. I mostly score critical hits and get more kills
Is it possible to bind the primary gun (cannons) and secondary (machinegun) to same key without pressing 1 and 2 to fire them together?

This video needs to be redone and brought up to date. In addition teaching aiming for Simulator and include the different sites and how to use them to judge distance etc. (i.e. The difference between German sites and British sites)
They don't seem to give sim much attention. It's a shame, but, with arcade being the most popular mode, I understand why they don't care about sim very much.
You forgot to mention that this only works if the 20mm rounds Doesn't clip the target, and get trough without making any damage or registering hits. (without mention the sparkling)

I made up a tactic called bullet whip which only works on 900 rpm machine guns. So I basically fire at the enemy and make my plane go up and down and one of my bullet could do decent damage to the enemy but not enough tho..... mabye they jut call it spray and pray

i need help hitting jets with my B-29 turrents its like no matter how far i lead or dont lead they dont get hit
for me, i know how to trick people in arcade, i go straight up, forcing them to follow, then press Q or E, or hold.
how do you stop the aircraft from going level when in gunner mode ?
I think there's a setting for that, I forget the name
But also if you adjust the controls, you can make W and S pitch, A and D roll, and Q and E as yaw. That way you can control the plane in gunner mode, I think. I don't play bombers much

Anyone else using the stealth belts? Am I right thinking it´s the best... having no tracers each bullet deals damage. But setting planes on fire sounds cool :D anyone tried other belts?

i find it easier to aim without tracers, idk why, tracers just make me miss alot
The tracers might make any misses you make more noticeable, while the non tracers still hit

you forgot to say that if you want to shoot down a plane, you dont, shooting it will make you just miss every shot, even at point blank range, and if a plane is coming after you, you might as well just hold j for 3 secconds cuz hes gonna burst you down in one shot faster than you can say "how does this game even work"
