- Charted at #2 in Billboard in 1952. Vocal by Tommy Mercer and the Anthony Choir. "At Last" had originally been a Top 10 hit for the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1942. This version, by Ray Anthony, a former trumpet player in Glenn Miller's orchestra, was the highest charting on the Billboard Pop charts. Original Billboard review: "Unusual for a band is this disking employing an odd-sounding, soprano-heavy and full choir. Tommy Mercer solos against the warm dance setting and the chorus on a not-too-old ballad of much merit. Here's a disking which could pick up "sleeper" support." Billboard Overall rating: 85 out of 100.
Later charting remakes include: #47 Billboard Hot 100 for Etta James in 1961 (#2 R&B), #25 R&B for Jesse James in 1972, #16 Adult Contemporary for Céline Dion in 2002, #67 Hot 100 for Beyoncé in 2008 (#79 R&B) and #83 Hot 100 for Will Champlin in 2013.

Sweet. Just sweet. Pass me the key to the Time Machine.
Etta James did it better.
