That's likely too. Assist clutches clamp down hard under engine torque and end up either bogging the engine or nosing the front wheel sky high. TC is varied of course, as some systems are abrupt and others soft.
@@LEXXELITEAUTODETAILING that is still going to take some months. Tail lights are generally a complicated thing to design and manufacture. Honestly I prefer the arrow although it's maybe slightly less smooth sounding on the shifts. In any case Arrow comes with a cat which should means it's legal for me.
Sounds great! How does the fitment compare to the Arrow system? Can't wait to see a dyno comparison of the Akra and Arrow with ECU tuning. If you could squeeze out 90whp and have 60lb ft of torque, that'd be insane!
2WheelDynoworks have been working on tunes. So far with an Akra system and M4 system. Gains are 10-12 horsepower and amazingly enough, as much as 9 ft-lb. Fat power being made. And the tuning is just begun. Modifications to intake and velocity stacks is proving to work nicely. Might be a set of cams showing up later this year, who knows. The engine is liking the mods so far. While the RS660 makes more peak power, that's way up at the top of the revs, and everywhere else the 8S crushing it with torque. Also the RS660 is known to send rods through the sides of blocks, just ask the racing clubs with MotoAmerica. Suzuki will be the way to go in this class. The 8R coming this year should prove to be more of a track machine for the higher speed aero.
Bullshit. Unless it's in your living room of your family home. One does not simply install an exhaust and not immediately listen to said exhaust. Lying on the internet does not make you cooler. Ever. Just say no.
@herbyderbys1629 wow youre a real piece of work. My exhaust was put on and i had to leave the place my bike is being kept before i was even done torqing all the bolts down to spec. Not that i need to explain a thing to a toxic ass like yourself. Get over yourself you prick.
Lovely sound on that can, but also shifting up and down really sharp. Is that the factory quickshift alone, or do you use some clutch/throttle control too?
The upshifts were with the factory quickshifter, however, the downshifts were blipped manually using the throttle and clutch. The bike does come equipped with an autoblipper if you prefer to use that instead. -TST Rider
Yes, we have been flashing this platform for a few months now. We have a listing on our website for the flash service. It is the 24th item from the top in this product category: tstindustries.com/suzuki-gsx-8s-2023/
From the Akrapovic site: The exhaust has a resonator in the link pipe, giving the rider a unique sound experience, with a racing and vivid tone, while not compromising performance. The plug-and-play installation means no remapping is needed.
That resonator actually uses acoustics to amplify performance in the targeted RPM range so it is more than just a sound modifying device. Although you can get away with using this exhaust without a remap, if you want to maximize value for your money a remap will get you all the potential performance that is there once you upgrade the exhaust.
@@TSTindustries but to make the bike run safe for the engine is a remap needed? Is it lean with the full akra or arrow without cat? Do you know if the arrow with cat run good with the stock map? Thanks :)
KTM stuck with their firing interval from the big 75° Vtwin engines, and made the parallel a 285° firing interval (the same as the Vtwin). Small difference from 270° crank stuff on the market, but a difference all the same. By the way, just for reference, a Harley Davidson 45° Vtwin produces a 315° firing interval.
There is no possibility of using a slip on on this bike since the full exahaust system is completely on the underside of the bike, there is no pipe coming up to put on a slip on.
Cross Plane is a term coined by Yamaha for the 270 degree crank config. Other manufacturers do not call this configuration cross plane but it is the same firing order and configuration.
I personally wouldn't run the bike without a tune after changing the exhaust. During our time on the dyno we recorded AFR under load with the new exhausts and prior to tuning. The results showed some areas in the rev range that under load, with just the right conditions, can lead to pre ignition or detonation. Neither is good. If you always baby the bike and do not load it up much, your fuel supply guarantees an appropriate antiknock factor always, you don't experience 95+ degree weather, then you should be fine with either....but who can keep all those variables in the safe zone?
@@TSTindustries Thank you for this good information, I will keep it in stock for now and decide later on what to do. I will follow you for more content on this bike. Thanks for the reply

I cant speak to whether or not it is required. When we installed this one and the Arrow, and ran them on our dyno, the mixture was only unsafe in several areas. I personally would definitely opt to tune when replacing the exhaust. This is why we build a tune for this bike and offer it on pur website.

Same firing interval, same engine architecture. It's 776cc and higher compression vs. 689cc. It's a little quicker overall, but not shockingly so. Much better suspension and chassis than the MT. The 8S ride quality and solidity feels more like the R7.
