FYI: It is recommended that you use the jar and the tamper to make nut and/or seed butters, otherwise as you've experienced in the blending cup, it takes a while to get the mass properly blended smooth (creamy). Consider purchasing the Vitamix A3500 or any of the newest models. You will get better attachments to work with including a food processor.
Thanks for the review! Happy to see there’s no scraping required in the newer models. I think it might be time for me to consider upgrading one for my kitchen! Also, is that a command hook you’re using to hang a dish towel above your sink?
I know it is expensive but the answer to small blending applications is the 32oz wet jar. For smoothies it is the best. The 320z dry is for grain, spice, etc milling. Each is $150, OUCH! Happy blending/cooking. I am donating all my old blender equipment to public radio. Waiting for delivery of 1st Vitamix - E320 rebuilt tomorrow. I like it manual operation.
The 48 ounce jar allows me to fill both personal cups plus have a cup left over to snack on. Basically gives me two days worth of morning breakfast smoothies.
It always helps to watch a few demonstrations and tips n tricks video before using this beast. From the way you were struggling, I think you skipped that process. Take it from someone who's been using Vitamix for over 25+ years, "the vortex" is your friend. And secondly, these machines run cooler on high than on low.
Love that you use it to make dosa batter!
