- I did the same thing for Most Wanted 12 hours ago and just for the hell of it decided to also do it for Carbon. Except since I have the PS3 version of this game, I can use my capture card here so far better quality here as well which is always a plus. Like I said before though in the last video if all the cars in your garage get impounded leaving you with no cars to drive, the game over screen will appear meaning you either have to start your career mode over from scratch or load the game back up from your last save.
Many of the same principals apply from Most Wanted. One of which being when you get busted and either choose to not use a get out of jail card or don't have any and simply have to pay the fine, your car gets hit with an impound strike, reach the limit and your car will be sent to the wrecker to be destroyed and that's something different than in Most Wanted, you can actually get your car back after 1-2 hours in Most Wanted after paying an impound fee (depends on particular car & total infractions) and here it's gone forever, damn that's harsh. Imagine if it were a Lambo you sunk ½ a million dollars into, that'd suck ass. Speaking of money, if you don't have enough cash to pay your fine, your car gets sent to the wrecker regardless of how many impound strikes you have which is another similarity, and also the number of impound strikes can be increased to a maximum of 5 just like in Most Wanted, to which you always start at 3.
Extra impound strike markers can be won as a bonus from defeating Angie, Kenji, and Wolf where you get to select 2 markers as a reward. Same goes for get out of jail cards too but because I have no editing software for my laptop yet to trim the video down, I decided not to use them today to keep the video as short as possible. The video would probably be upwards of 10 mins if I used them. To which like in Most Wanted when used basically means the pursuit never happened, your debt is postponed so you lose no money and don't get an impound strike. I had 2 of those here and 9 in Most Wanted. Something I noticed though with the strike limit is that in Most Wanted when you reached the strike limit, your car was taken right away to the impound lot, but here when you reach the limit you have to get busted 1 more time afterwards before the cops actually take it from you and send it to the wrecker. Kind of like a last warning notice that if you don't step up your game against the cops that your gonna end up losing your ride. And if losing your car is inevitable, make sure to have a backup at hand ready.

Thats what made getting busted in carbon SO MUCH MORE OF A PUNCH IN THE FACE to me as a kid if you loose your car its gone forever

I remember getting this game over as a kid because I got hit into spikes thanks to niki and I was quickly boxed in and lost my viper i was upset at the time

@Underøath628 I know that I always do that one the 360 version that I still have now but me being brand new to video games (I was 4 when I got this game for the ps2) didn’t realize or knew you could do that on this game or most wanted
Someone would have to be really incompetent to get a game over in this game without being on purpose.

@@MrSmashboy28 yes but sometimes u keep carrying on the chase for fun even when u can get away lol u can get a huge bounty and destroy 50 police cars but u might get busted imagine i rammed into an SUV in a roadblock and another suv drove into me from the side into the spike strips
The only reason I’d carry a chase on intentionally is for the reward cards. After that first chance I get, I’m ditching them. Some tasks are too difficult to risk carrying the chase on for fun after completing an objective just simply due to the time it’d take to complete the task all over again should you get busted because you have to get away of course in order for any reward card objectives to be completed.

I don’t see why any cop should be allowed other than for self defense or to break up a fight, where I live a cop was recently terminated for unnecessary police brutality on a defenseless, cuffed inmate.
Can we just appreciate the fact that this Legendary NFS player ended his whole career by giving himself to the police?! Sad and disrespectful how no one here acknowledges that but me! Here's an F to pay respects to you.

I had two Muscle Careers and decided to Game Over those Saves and turn one to Tuner, and another to Exotic career, had to do this with only one Evo IX per save.

Nah happened to me when I was six thought it was then end. Till I realised I could just load it again.

I had only had 2 pursuits in carbon the first pursuit with neville and one time I was racing and the cops got called and I escaped the pursuit in 3 minutes and never had another pursuit during the entire game.

idk how im supposed to get over gear fear in Escape from Tarkov when i never dared to use my best car in NFS Carbon cuz it would get impounded after three cop Busts
and to this day i've never had a car impounded
I purposely got myself busted after getting 100% in career mode which made getting the "Iron Wall" reward card impossible, and since I didn't have enough money to fill my garage up with only muscles, then only tuners for their reward cards. I read that I needed to get myself busted and start the game from scratch under the same ALIAS in order to retain my already collected reward cards, but nope, everything gone. I kind of wanted to also keep all unlocks and remaining cash but I can't find a tutorial for that. Anyone know where I messed up in terms of getting busted, starting over under the same ALIAS?
I wanted to try that myself too, but I think it's just a trick to troll unwitting players
I remember I somehow managed to get 35 in fractions and one pursuit and it hurt

Because the story is continuation of most wanted
only after all this years i noticed that carbon and most wanted have a way to get a game over, even the loading screen say it, i never give a sh*t to this, and finally i searched to see how it happen.
but it is fun how a player simply surrenders the pursuit and the cutscene the character resist, that times games already had resources, complexity and idea to change scenes by the moves
holy shit i've never actually seen this
