google earth used to provide this for free. you can still get it for free by repeatedly signing up for free trials with different emails, though you may need to reset your IP address/use a VPN, and possibly completely wipe and reinstall google earth each time. But it's free.
My mind is blown. Because The property line I was trying to look up (the reason I watched this video) was right in the area you used as the example. If only you scrolled a few miles south I could have seen it on this video and saved time lol.
THANK YOU! It's a nightmare using each municipality's different software and jumping through different hoops for each town. I'll be using this from now on, thanks for sharing!
Very helpful, thank you. I am searching for land in the SF Bay Area. Any tips on how to find vacant lots (or teardowns, for that matter) in a larger area, e.g. let's say I'm looking in Richmond, CA, in the hilly area. I imagine buying or printing out a very large physical map, sticking it on a wall, finding attractive lots, and reaching out to owners (but I can't figure out how/where to buy or how to print out such large maps). Ideas? Thank you again.
Try ordering a boundary survey. That should clear it up for everybody (I've had to do this before in boundary line disputes... it's annoying, but it does solve the problem).
Im trying to prevent any adverse possession of my property. Can google earth be used to get an accurate view of properties for this purpose, or is it better to survey the land in person?
Can you look up one parcel for me I’m not an agent or anything but I want to buy a property and I don’t know who ownes it it’s on summit crossing RD Fredericksburg va it’s been logged recently and is about 225 acres
This is actually NOT ACCURATE, so PLEASE do NOT use these online maps records/Google Earth because the DATA has to be entered by your COUNTY, and they are APPROXIMATE only. Lines are COLOR-coded, red and green. I think green is APPROXIMATE and red is surveyed/AFFIRMED.
Seth does a much better job explaining the services than the tutorials the service itself puts out. That’s for another very useful video!
Oh, thanks! You're too kind.

Lol, seriously?!? That's crazy!

You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Are you able to download Parcel lines as a DWG. or DXF File from using this program?
Thanks Seth...small world, helpful video
Alright! Glad you found it, Tim. Hope all is well with you.
Thanks! Good info appreciate you taking the time to share.
My county website has a Very Good one...FREE. Zooms in even better than Google Earth...1"= 25 feet. Thanks for the Info !

You could try using PropStream for this purpose: ruclips.net/video/bVoklKGAt0c/видео.html or DataTree: ruclips.net/video/m75_-AK0yz0/видео.html
That is a very good tool for anyone in CRE! Thx
Thanks for watching, Marc!
WOW! I wonder if this works for land that is only on paper (recorded).
how would it show unrecorded lot lines?
The introduction was 1/2 the video. Also it not the tilt of the earth it is the slope or grade of the land that your referring to.
Great job Seth!
Thanks, Robert!
Does it show Right of Ways and Easements?
But this is worthless unless you can zoom in. County maps are much more detailed already and free
I need guidance in finding my property line, neighbors are causing property damage and Harassing my family/ children.

$300 bucks to find out my property boundaries??
Keep it!
No shade, but doesn't Redfin and Zillow give the same information!?

I would think a legitimate survey would probably be more appropriate for that purpose.
Thanks Alan Alda
🤣🤣🤣 totally get it!
Sounded interesting until you mentioned you can’t search by apn or owner name.. in the end is so much easier to get it from assessor map.
Yeah, it's not a complete replacement for all other research tools, but definitely a helpful supplement to have on hand if you're using Google Earth.
Where can I find that? Thanks 😊
Does this work in Canada?
I believe there are some areas in Ontario where it works, but not in most of the country, unfortunately.
@@Retipster Thanks for the reply. I'm going to do some more research.

Can this be done with LandGlide?
LandGlide is using all the same data as Parlay (both products are from the same company), so essentially, yes.
Why is it so much more expensive than landglide?
I think it's just a totally different product. LandGlide is for a mobile device and is used for different applications than Parlay.
3 minutes of yammering before you find out this isn't a free application.
Lame.
does this works out of the us
???
I believe it works only in the US and some parts of Canada.
great video, I have been surveying for lot pins for fun, very informative, thanks
Thanks for watching!
it would blow my mind if it was free

is there a way to get 2 feet (not 10 feet) contour lines to show topographic data on Google Earth?
These aren’t always accurate. According to my map I own my neighbors driveway too
True. Sometimes they're not spot-on. The only way to know for sure would be to order a survey.
$300???????? Lol, no.
Too expensive
Seems like a massive pain in the ass and you have to subscribe to a service that's at least $300 per year. NOT what I was looking for.
It's not for everyone I suppose. It works pretty well for me, though.
Get to the point
