thanks dude! I place the flute and the sax, and I really wanted to know which song was which. I listen to the music all the time, but I forget the names lol
Whenever I hear phantom of the Opera music, it sends shivers down my spine, I hear music in my mind just like the Phantom, so I turned to composing music and art. I made the right decision and may go to Broadway, wish me luck.
actually other brass instruments like trumpets also play at that part but trombone is the really strong in that part :) i know that because i used to play trumpet in a youth orchestra when i was a student. i remember being amazed by trombone sound at that part.
Played this at our consert today. I play second violin and this is the exact same arangement. Although there's no harp and a few other differences.. I am one of the younger member at 15 years. Later when you get older and a little more experienced you move up to first violin. Fun to recognize every part of it :P
Nelle Biremandie With Matt Cammelle / Ben Lewis as The Phantom, Celinde Schoenmaker as Christine Daae and Alexander Lewis as Vicomte Raoul De Chagny, right?
I played this last year at school (not the whole 12 minute thing but a shortened version with all the major points) and it was hella fun sooooo love it!
For anyone who puts this down, the pace is right, and this doesn't have to start in in flats or sharps, this song was created to give the movie a 1900,s sound to it. And if you say I am wrong I play in an orchestra and I play the violin.
You aren't wrong at all, I feel you, I'm playing this same song tomorrow night at my last concert haha... this song is actually quite amazing to perform and you have a point that it's to represent the movie... all the transitions into the other pieces are done very tastefully
Critics of tempo are those who have nothing else to say. It makes people sound musically intelligent, but thats all they have to say. You can't have any further discussion with these people because they have nothing else to contriubute.
+elders30 If I remember correctly, "Think of Me" was without a drumset. I can't assure you though, 'cause I've only watched the movie and not the play.
Demonstrates how it’s impossible to play the organ line of the overture with 2 hands / 2 feet. The original recording was done using 2 overlaid tracks, one of which was a sampled organ.
i wish i'm gonna play one of that instrument =( i love instrument/music also but we are not rich to buy one of that, =( i only can do now is to watch =(
I would like to wring the neck of the third stand, inside of first violins. Watch him. He's faking half the time and uses about six inches of his bow. I'm embarrassed for him. His stand partner serves as a contrast to his utter lack of effort.
MissAncalima Yes, MissA, that guy. It galls me when everyone is putting out and some don't even try. He plays everything at the tip and doesn't know his notes. It's not like they're playing the Rite of Spring. This is a standard Pops arrangement that is played a lot.
itinkle Well, I've been married to a violinist for 38 years, conduct the Minnesota Youth Symphonies, and have been a member of the Minnesota Orchestra for 35 years. It's not so much an eye but some experience, LOL.
I like the consistency of the overture but I dislike how it doesn't start in any form whatsoever of Bb or even F# that would've been a lot more royal hall or '04 sounding
+Carlo Neri Those are the oboe players you are referring to. The lady holds an english horn (cor anglais), which is basically an oboe, but sounding lower. Unfortunately, there is no english horn part in this arrangement, that is why she isn't playing.
Yeah, also I lowered my volume because usually the overture is loud and scares the crap out of me...However; this wasn't which disappointed me. But it was still good. :)
Phantom Medley:
-Phantom Overture
-Think of Me
-Angel of Music
-Phantom of The Opera
-All I Ask of You
-Masquerade
-Music of The Night
Played all of this in middle school for our Christmas concert
Playing this in middle school for Halloween
Steven Beausoleil 1時3~{}34/./;4
thanks dude! I place the flute and the sax, and I really wanted to know which song was which. I listen to the music all the time, but I forget the names lol
Hey guys how are you it's me Steven
YOU WILL CURSE THE DAY YOU DID NOT DO ALL THAT THE PHANTOM ASKED OF YOU
*Looking at that one violinist everyone in this comment section is talking about
Whenever I hear phantom of the Opera music, it sends shivers down my spine, I hear music in my mind just like the Phantom, so I turned to composing music and art. I made the right decision and may go to Broadway, wish me luck.
I totally feel for the first part of your statement. As for your career on Broadway, I wish you the best of luck! Its huge just to make that decision.
Good luck!!!
I would also one day like to go there but I don’t know how to.. could you explain?
Phantastic
That little trombone ,,solo,, at 5:34 sounds so freaking amazing...I luv trombone so much, so glad I chose to play it ^___^
Mārtiņš Knets same!
Yes! That’s a really powerful trombone part.
t squad
Soli
actually other brass instruments like trumpets also play at that part but trombone is the really strong in that part :)
i know that because i used to play trumpet in a youth orchestra when i was a student. i remember being amazed by trombone sound at that part.
Absolutely love it reminds me of my mum it was her favourite film rip mum miss you xx

Well actually we don't play everything that's played here, it's shorter but yeah at least the first part xD
I am 15 also! We played this last Saturday at our Halloween concert. I think I am the youngest in the orchestra... :) I play cello by the way..
Same, except I played Viola :P
David Ekdal I'm playing today and I play alto sax and I'm 12
Grace M I’m playing it in 3 days I’m going to be the 2nd youngest ever in the orchestra, I play viola and this is an honor. I’m 11
I dislike it when they keep zooming in and out. The magic is seeing all the instruments working together!
To see something as wonderful as this, was played back home, just makes me feel so happy!
As a 7th grade violinist and a lover of movies it’s always been my dream to play this as soon as I heard the song and it’s amazing
flute solo was very nice!
Fantastic performance
Love the phantom score....wonderfully played.
I totally love this rendition!
Beautiful and lively! My favorite play.
5:20 the build up
Jason Taylor h
It was too fast imo
I'm in love...with an orchestra and the Phantom music.
Magnifique !
We're gonna play this at our school concert :D I'm so excited xD #Flute xD
xRoxyx same here!
Man this makes me want to play in orchestra again !
what a wonderful orchestra!!!!
literally eargasm!!!!
Am i the only one who wants to see this orchestra, team up and produce a whole show with a huge cast?
No. I want to see The Phantom of The Opera as well, not The Phantom of the Musical.
+TheMsiaddict me too
Nelle Biremandie
With Matt Cammelle / Ben Lewis as The Phantom, Celinde Schoenmaker as Christine Daae and Alexander Lewis as Vicomte Raoul De Chagny, right?
+TheMsiaddict of course
TheMsiaddict so... you want the play but with no orchestra at all? Just all vocals? Mk...
This is my favorite movie😫
So excited playing this for our final concert I’m a viola
We played it for our concert and I'm a viola! It was AWESOME
I play the Gong and Cym. in school orchestra.
Nice touch zooming in on the statue at the end there. :D
This is tear jerking and overwhelmingly gorgeous. I might have to convince my teacher to let us play this medley 😍
They brought the angel of music with them!
I played this last year at school (not the whole 12 minute thing but a shortened version with all the major points) and it was hella fun sooooo love it!
Our orchestra also played this tune yesterday.that's so amazing !
Bravoooo! Great coverage of the orchestra. 😘🎭🎼😄
going to Boston Opera House to see this in June! I'm scared!!
Horne's performance was perfect!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thrilled wanted to see you guys playing Friendship - Fundo de Quintal
Oke to the people who say that the first section is Phantom of the Opera: NO!!! It’s the Overture
Omg this was PHANTASTIC
ohhhhh my god the trumpets get the second overture 'verse' to themselves that's too much 😱😍
For anyone who puts this down, the pace is right, and this doesn't have to start in in flats or sharps, this song was created to give the movie a 1900,s sound to it. And if you say I am wrong I play in an orchestra and I play the violin.

+Redstarangel26 what do you play in your orchestra?
Who sees the person who isn't playing at all throughout the whole song?
Where?
The one with the saxophone?
+Leland Smith i see here, whys she not playing >:c
+luxurious; vine yes
Maybe this song doesn't involve a saxophone?
Critics of tempo are those who have nothing else to say. It makes people sound musically intelligent, but thats all they have to say. You can't have any further discussion with these people because they have nothing else to contriubute.
3:15 I LOVE the sound of the drumset with the song but, I think it would've sounded better without it for this song .
+PB Jamz Yeah i know what you mean, but it was originally written to make the show a more rock feel, rather than another orchestra musical
elders30 I kind of expected more orchestra and opera than rock because of their accents and the title XD
+elders30 If I remember correctly, "Think of Me" was without a drumset. I can't assure you though, 'cause I've only watched the movie and not the play.
+Muhammad Nizami You're right, Think of Me is without drumset, even in the play.
i totally agree, i am more talking about the Prologue/overture and Phantom of the Opera, utilising a drum kit to make it more rockish than orchestral
No words... Can describe...
Demonstrates how it’s impossible to play the organ line of the overture with 2 hands / 2 feet. The original recording was done using 2 overlaid tracks, one of which was a sampled organ.
Great performance.
Belíssima execução!
1:03-1:26 is one of my favorite parts for the stringed instruments
What a nice song!
The flute on think of me is really good
Someday, I will be on the Orchestra
야
너 무슨 소리 야?
Wow that’s really nice
omg amazing almost as good as the actual phantom band just wish there could have been an organ
The horns need to be brought out more. a tad too quiet
It's a second rate recording. Muddy bass. I'm sure the performance was much better.
Agreed
u mean... a TAT too quiet?? :)
Who would have thought "Till you" and "Echoes" would go so well together ?
Anyone 2021?
i wish i'm gonna play one of that instrument =( i love instrument/music also but we are not rich to buy one of that, =( i only can do now is to watch =(
Fantastic

You always get people like that -_-
Manny Laureano Ha, you're so right.
Manny, good eye! I don't bump into people who care to notice for these things.
itinkle Well, I've been married to a violinist for 38 years, conduct the Minnesota Youth Symphonies, and have been a member of the Minnesota Orchestra for 35 years. It's not

4:33 violin solo
크즈짱 not exactly the clarinet is playing the melody too😁
wonderful!
I like the consistency of the overture but I dislike how it doesn't start in any form whatsoever of Bb or even F# that would've been a lot more royal hall or '04 sounding
I LOVE IT ❤
What? No "wishing you were somehow here again"?!
meu deusssss que incrível
Buona esecuzione e discreta direzione
Bellisima~~~!
Amazing

Excellent
The lady between the french horn and clarinet players did not play her instrument once in the song
+Carlo Neri Those are the oboe players you are referring to. The lady holds an english horn (cor anglais), which is basically an oboe, but sounding lower. Unfortunately, there is no english horn part in this arrangement, that is why she isn't playing.

Phantastic!! How Are you from?
Mmm those beginning notes are spicy
Says it was recorded in July, but posted in june
Emma De Lucia people put the date like that sometimes. Idk why but it was on purpose.
The TeddyBear oh okay
Was the inside player of the Violin 1 3rd desk sight-reading?! Minimal bow used, weird fingerings etc., so out of place...
how bad is it that I hear 50 ways to say goodbye?
I just really like 1:52 and 1:53
Linda música
wow wow wow wow
wow!
5:32
is there ANYWHERE i can buy/download this
nola chambers JW pepper
They butchered it. The bass takes over the melody at 1:23 but you can't hear it over the overwhelming harmony. What a shame.
Personal thought the flute solo was a little flat. Thoughts?
now praying
I wonder is it the recording, my headphones, or my ears? The low strings sound almost nonexistent in some part even though visually they are playing.
just in general. Lower instruments aren't easily heard but without them it seems as if there's something missing in the orchestra :)
Lauren Rose true
MsDERPDIDERP I'm pretty sure they were off by a couple of beats per minute...
Yeah, also I lowered my volume because usually the overture is loud and scares the crap out of me...However; this wasn't which disappointed me. But it was still good. :)
Victor Schwartz you know, the original is played on organ?
Justin Kantner Yeah I know. It's also played with other instruments too.
opera跟eigties 的旋律有一段一模一样
