    Older video but had to comment; car rolls out really well for a stock bore/ stock stroke NA build. My old B20V was 84.5x89 12.5:1 static with a 4Piston head package. Made 236whp and like 165wtq on pump fuel but I ended up adding a big fuel system and putting the car on E90 and a GTX3076R with a Full Race manifold. Made over 450whp @ ~13psi. High compression turbo builds are awesome if you can tune lol. 😃

      the sleeves crack due to heat stress but with vp m5 she runs at a constant 180 degrees max but our goal is to hit 10.50 index next year on a oem crank and bore but it's not cheap at all lol

      +NovaLane24 youll make it just need to gut the car down to 1900 and get 245hp with 23 inch tires my car is gutted to 1760 with me in it and she does 10.9 until we fix the issues check her out just uploaded the new video today maxing her out

      13:5.1 compression and she made 282 would of made more with better headers and intake manifold!!!!!

    Which switch do you have your full throttle shift hooked up to? The cruise control or the immobilizer?

      I read up on that but never tried it. I was able to do it because I had a fresh set of carbon synced in but after a while she rejects the power shift lol

    Got another question for you, what rods are you running. Another question is do you have any experience with b20 stock rods with arp rod bolts spinning to 9k rpm. Thanks.

      simple eagle rods and the stock rods hold up to 8500 but not too many hits at the rpm eagle rods are only 300

      last build i did was using stock rods(shotpeened)-75$+arp rodbolts,acl mains and rod bearings...was doing 9800 allday...custom 4angle valvejob ported head ++

      Vega-Expert I have b20 vtec with stock rods but 85mm pistons ported head and pro3 all arp studs and bolt with acl bearings just degree the cams so gonna tune soon hope to make some power

    Is it a stock port head, with those cams did u upgraded the springs retainers valves etc..if yes what brand set up did you installed?

      Ported head with a lost motion assembly and I only use ferrea valvetrain for the type of performance I need. But you can use any company as long as its rated at 100psi

    GEE-ZUSS!!! That little fucker is fast! I really miss my 95 coupe, had a LS/VTEC in it with Intergra type R rear suspension and hardware making it 4 wheel disc, Koni yellows all 4 corners, custom p28 tuned by a friend. In 2005 when the retro Mustang came out with 300hp I would absolutely spank those things, I regret selling it...

    Hey i like your build. im trying to build a car in honor of my friend passing away. I see a b20 at a reputable importer for 350 does this seem right ? engines are guaranteed about 45-55k miles.

      b20b last for a pretty long time as long as the engine is maintained well but I've seen them last 200k use an ls tranny to help on fuel consumption!!!!!

      +Juan Martinez for boost I would recommend the b18b ls motor it'll hold 300 hp daily for a while as long as the coolant temp is maintained and not getting hot also with good oil in hot weather

      +Juan Martinez the problem is the area between the sleeves it's thin and can Crack on heat exchange if you use the b18b and install a css insert it can hold up to 900 hp on stick sleeves and forged internals and the best part it's cheap

    Please hellp!!! For best possible 1/4 mile race what final drive i need to have and gears? my engine is k24.. i have k20 gearbox and fd 4.7 from k20. But for better accleration do i need fd. 4.3 from k24? Or its better to go with longer gears and shorter fd.? Whats best combo, any advice, thanks!!!!!

    Can you tell me your thoughts on going to a 90mm throttle body setup over your current 75mm tb setup? Is that something your will do in the future?

      honestly from what ive been seeing on the dyno not much of a difference at all!!!!! i have friend with better tb and intake manifold and we still make the same power but thats only for and 84mm bore but if going to 86 to 87 then 90 is needed!!!!!!

      +Edwin Sanchez if you are running factory engine bore at 84mm then there is no need for an over size throttle body just run a 75mm trottle body which is a mustang tb if you want to see the setup im on instagran zeus_hdr and i can respond to messages quicker there

      Antonn Sum switch out manifold for ultra street with 72mm tb and get some 1320 headers since they don't cost much and you'll be fine bro the key to all motor power is cfm flow the more cfm you have the more power you make. Sock ports are great but will have a limit

    Holly vtec this thing moves, i want to go vtec on my b20. I have heard horror stories on stock internals on lsvtec set ups. The most i would do is forged piston/rod combo and chill. Is that a good set up for daily driving? And i have a p75 ecu.

      YEAH FOR A DAILY WITH SOME BEATINGS YEAH 12.1 COMPRESSION PISTONS WITH SKUNK2 PRO2 CAMS RUNNING ON 93 OCTANE FUEL WITH SOME CHEAP AFTERMARKET RODS.... BUT THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE PARTS ITS THE WAY A MACHINIST SETS UP THOSE BEARING CLEARANCE AND HAVING A VTEC OIL PUMP RUNNING SOME GOOD SYNTHETIC OIL IN HER. AS LONG AS THE CRANK JOURNALS ARE MEASURED STRAIGHT AND THE BEARINGS HAVE A LITTLE SPACE TO OIL UP AND PLAY SHE WILL LAST FOR EVER I REV MINES HARD AND SHE ONLY NEEDS MAINTENANCE EVERY YEAR FOR THE BEATING SHE GETS LOL

      That gives me some hope, I have a b20 with a b16 head, and high Comp pistons, 13.2:1 (not assembled yet) All I've heard is "if the tune is good your safe" but after seeing this I feel more confident

      +Allmotor Kris you should be fine and if you can port the head out even better but make sure its with good cams for an all motor drag car with good race fuels!!!! we are currently aiming at 290 whp

    I have a question i have the ycp pistons when i asked what compression will it give with a b16 they said 12:1 is that true and what cams should i use for 11:8:1 compression and tunning on race gas what numbers and be achieved

      DJ Von Austin yes the head can bump compression a bit and with that compression skunk2 pro2 or tb motorworx stage 2 if you are using for track only depending on parts being used and fuel the power can range from 240 to 270 on race fuel m5 but m5 is a pain in the butt to maintain

      85mm is a great size to go with on a street setup and i love the b16 heads just make sure you get a good intake manifold with a 70mm throttle body and use a hondata s300 chip. as far as the cams i'm not a fan of buddy club but if you bought them already use them!!!!! but i recommend skunk2 pro 2 if you want a hard hit on vtec with a great top end power band!!!!

      Mike Lopez I usually don't go by best etc since there is many things I need to upgrade like the oem axles lol best time so far 10.96 if tell upgrades were done like spherical control arms and better axles with rear lightweight assembly and maybe weld on dog syncro I can probably get her down to 10.5s or high 10.4

    Any advice on making more power?
    I'm running 13.5-1 weiscos
    84.5mm bore
    Forged rods,
    Fully balanced bottom end
    Skunk2 pro 3's (dialed in)
    Skunk2 pro springs/retainers
    Jenvey 48mm itb's
    Obx 4-1 manifold (don't laugh)
    My power seems to start tailing off at 8k any ideas??
    This is in a classic mini weighing 650kg

      It's a weekend toy and is road legal but like to use it on the drag strip and do some circuit track days.
      My best 1/4 mile is a 12.7@110mph with some hard circuit slicks on but that was with my old high comp b18.
      Is my 240bhp @the fly low? My 370cc injectors were starting to max out so going for some bigger ones and going back for mapping. We have 99octane pump fuel here which is a good thing.
      Is my old obx 4-1header holding me back do you think?

      just need to know what head and is it ported?
      what intake manifold are you running on and what size throttle body?
      what cams and was it degreed to cam card specs from camshafts producer?
      weight of car with you in it?
      and yes headers can hold back top end power but for what your trying to achieve drag racing and circuit is 2 different ball games.... like with my setup since im a drag racer my tune and adjustments is for all top end power but for you it might be better that you set it for mid range and a little top end.

      thatcarguy inaj not hard at all if you know what your doing!!!! need to read that diagram well.....for me to use the oem harness it took me 2 days of clipping after work in front of a tv lol deleted about 20 pounds of wires

      John B yeah that year was nuts and if you follow my page she has roll cage now but will have a change of chassis for the next season we are taking a break soon

    yo John I got a b20b high compression with a stock b16a2 head and transmission running a p28 ecu it has been chiped with b16a2 engine do I have to re chip for the b20 ? and the shop told me to buy a hondata chip he said its better???

      yes the shop is right, the hondata s300 is way better and easier to deal with than the chip and you'll see the true power come out that car after a dyno session just remember only use 93 octane and tag me to the video but you have to dyno her if you want to see power and make sure the transmission is a b16 or type r to help the motor go through its power band easier.

      thanks I'm thinking of getting a type r transmission since my b16a2 3rd&4th gears are out so next get a type r transmission the s300 hondata chip and a real shop tune? no cams or head work?

      Just fix the transmission it's cheaper and they sell the gears separate so fixing it isn't a problem also if you want just buy skunk2 pro1 or 2 and do the valvetrain with 90 pound Springs and please make sure you do get the lost motion assembly for the head

      B16 is perfectly fine just make sure the final drive is a 4.7 ratio and refurbish the whole tranny and if the gear is good and the syncro on the gears are fine keep it. Get the springs and retainer from supertech it's affordable

      I got some updates for you i have b20 block ycp pistons b16 head pro 1 cams skunk2 ultra street with 74mm tb id1000 injectors 1320 headers what kind of power im expected to see and running 110 octane

      head ported your looking at 230 you limit might be the cams a little but so far you have a lot of great parts also make sure you get a 2 liter spacer for the intake manifold to raise the reserve capacity of air for higher rpms but your well on your way to great power

      Good ears and yes I did shift early because we were in the 11.50 index and thats the only way I could slow her down by shortening that power curve a bit

      Did a 10.9 since we had alignment issues and the chassis was horrible lol. She was capable of 10.6 easily but we ended up selling the setup and building a bigger one. Updates will be up soon!!!!

      whatsup and no problem......i dont use itbs i have a edlebrock intake manifold and it had a 70mm stock port now its ported to 75mm max with a 75mm tb port matched to the head exspecting more power and good time runs aiming for the 10.5 index runs in nj

      Marco Quiroz doesn't really matter but if you want make sure you order the ev14 style injectors from Bosch or get the name brand like i.d or South bay what's important is how much fuel you'll need depending on your build

      sounds like you want to build a daily and a racer at the same time you can use 93 octane with 12.5.1 piston compression and eagle rods with a small shot of nitrous but honestly you don't need the shot. our engine is a full race setup and we use 2000cc injectors

      Robert ortiz 13.5:1 wiseco pistons but with pro 3 cams they run pretty tight

      iam running a b20vtec setup
      b16 head with ITR cams, skunk2 70mm pro intake+matching tb, golden eagle fuel rail, aeromotive fpr, dsm 450cc injectors, blox dual valve springs, blox titaniun retainers, blox flat valves, 3 angle valve job, just got some 84mm ycp pistons and a few other parts, motor is currnently takin apart (to install new rings and bearings) but i just came across some s2 pro3 cams for $300 and im not sure if ill have enough compression or if ill have enough valve clearence with the pro3's any advise for me bro

      Try to aim for the bisimoto reps and the head imported is going to hold you back bit I think she will make good power 230 with a good tuner and cams degreed

      I power shift alot for consistency at index racing now we dont have an oem syncro transmission anymore and upgraded the motor heavy for this season.

      10.9 but with a good amount of issues from fuel delivery and break up on top end and it hasn't been dialed in either!!!!! but she should hit 10.5 by next season for sure with a few upgrade. all the things I have in this setup is cheap stuff

      Stock 84mm bore with 89MM stock LS crank high compression pistons and upgraded type r tranny syncros for track use....shifting at 9500rpm max is 10,000rpm she made 285 on the dyno with edelbrock intake manifold and a 74mm tb all the parts on here are affordable the labor is what cost and i have a dyno video on my youtube chanel when she made 285!!!! i don't mind helping on giving info for your build if necessary just tell me is it a street or track car and i can guide you from there!!!!

      yeah we will soon just waiting to get a ppg dog gear set but we already went through about 4 sets of synccros in one season due to power shifting and second gear on an oem tranny hates power shifting lol.

      Trent Szopinski the shift light I was using kind of stuck because its hard to lay attention to the rpms but we now have a aim race dash which is better to shift
