The pain of divorce runs so deep, deeper than I ever imagined. It hurts, it really hurts. May 6th will mark 3 years since my divorce yet I’m still going through the healing journey. Thank you, LORD for Your strength and grace.

Ooo that’s hurts I totally understand. In my marriage I have become the scapegoat for everything. I have been emotionally abused and was told to hold myself accountable for everything. I tried to fix things but later I regret to see just me trying.

Building a whole new foundation without something we love actually gets frustrated dealing with a lot of unnecessary foolishness and confusion and unnecessary jealousy people problems. God never actually sleeps

Keep praying for eachother's salvation and for your loved ones salvation. I layed my hand on my spouse's shoulder and said to him, "Be born again in Jesus' name.", and he's been believing in God ever since ( he didn't believe in God before I did this). He is a lot more respectful now.
And pray for your enemies salvation cuz if he was unfaithful I think its good to pray it.

I am currently going thru a Divorce and I feel like so many of you. One moment I'm talking myself into getting up moving on with my life the next I'm to weak to stand asking God why he has forgotten me. I pray for everyone as I asked to be prayed for. It's terrifying the Divorce Rate out weighs the staying married Rate. I may never do this again.

Girl I'm going through the same thing... Wife just left me, 17 years married, 8 year old; a 15 year old with special needs.. quite a bit of stress in our life but God doesn't give us challenges we can't face Together.. She's 43 and like it's a midlife crisis and I'm stuck for the ride to see where it ends.. I pray God will sustain you each day during this time.. It's tough to say the least and in my situation it doesn't need to be happening.. She doesn't have to work but she feels unfulfilled and I can't fill that hole.. she's been a wonderful mother, wife to me! God Bless all of you on here.. I love my wife dearly and pray the Lord will work through us to be who HE wants us to be!!

My wife is divorcing me. She has three kids from 3 different relationships. We got together when her kids were little. They didn't like me coming into the picture. Now, as adults, they blame me for taking their mother away, so they disowned us as they were growing up. They had to live with her parents because we couldn't afford a bigger house. So many years gone by, now as adults they told the mom that they see her pain of not being there for them and gave her an chance to regain a relationship with them but only if she divorce me. I never held my wife back from her kids. She chose to spend most of her time with me and my kids. I do understand that we both needed to step up and work on accommodating these kids with a family environment and a bigger house but my wife couldn't agree with me in better her income to make this work. I felt all alone in this relationship and doing everything. I cooked, cleaned, and paid the majority of the bills and expenses all by myself.. When the kids told her to make that decision to choose them over me, she jumped at the opportunity to regain the relationship with them, which led us in the process of getting a divorce.. I couldn't do or say anything to save our marriage because her kids were more important to her than anything else.. please pray for me for clarity, comfort, and strength, for my heart is really hurting...
Me too. Completely blindsided. Husband had an affair and the woman is pregnant. I relate to everyone here. We were going to Church, praying and reading our Bible. How is this happen to me? I thought I was doing everything right.
I am going thru a divorce. I know, one day, I will get past the hurt. I will focus more on God word than the pain itself.

32 years of struggle n finally the cage is open. Ive been set free from a trial that cannot be described. I prayed myself out. One day God will send me a real Godly man. Till then Im happy on my own. God is reviving and restoring me.
@noeleen743 i think if you say im happy now, thats same with me, why would you wantto take a gamble on screwing things back up, havent you had enough punishment for one lifetime, if so you must e a sucker for punishment, they say the devorse rate is 80%. You would be a lot better off getting as close as you possably get to Jesus , diligently studying your bible, you will notice after a little while life will get better,but dont just quit Jesus right there ,keep studying bible it keeps geting better & better, you dont need a boy friend or girl friend (the times we live in are super messed up, being with Jesus is plenty 24 hrs aday he will unscrew your life,he did mine over 30 years ago, &he will do yours if you cooperate with him, be bullheaded & he wont waste his time,its that easy
Divorce is so painful, the worst pain is when fellow believers judge you and stigmatize you . Listen no woman in her right sense will leave a marriage where she valued and appreciated. It's been four long yrs, still healing. Absolutely better now . Thank you Jesus
It is not true that no woman will leave a relationship where she is valued. That is too generic a statement. People take decisions based on different reasons. Some leave because of abuse, others leave for financial reasons. Some leave because their partner is too nice....sounds strange right? Some leave for immigration status purposes....There are a million and one reasons women and men leave their marriages.....We need to be clear on this.
Mine left for no reason or she is unwilling to communicate that to me. She said im nice guy and good husband but not for her. After 15 years she wants an divorce. Now she hangs out with friends and drink alcohol like she is in her teens. Other day had to drive 60km (one way) just to feed our daughter. In fridge were almost empty bottles of alcohol we never kept in the house. I hope this behaviour will not peraist. So your statement is offensive in every way possible...
My husband cheated on me and left me within 4 days of the action. He had obviously already been emotionally (and physically) invested elsewhere, but I had no idea. I thought everything was great. I feel stupid and foolish. He hasn't even served me divorce papers yet, but I know he's going to. Right now, he's trying to make me suffer as much as possible. I didn't know I was married to this kind of person. I really need God's guidance and his peace about this. If you see this message, please pray for me.
Praying for you. I was cheated on too. Know it was not you. What a person is in his heart that is who he is. Like you, I felt like a fool too but how are you to know? Many people are deceptive and manipulative and this is who they are. The enemy uses those closest to us to destroy us. Refuse to allow them to do that to you. Continue to pray and trust in God. The Word says many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them All! Get counseling and join divorce support groups. Do not do this by yourself. Look at a movie about the Prophet Hosea. Walk in forgiveness and pray for your ex. The Lord will bring you through this difficult journey. Keep positive thoughts and constantly listen to videos on faith, forgiveness, and trusting in Jesus. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He mends our wounds. Stay encouraged!

I just went through a divorce and yes it sucks and hurts however folks it will get better with time if you allow it to. I actually see a therapist now which has helped me tremendously. God bless you all keep on keeping on!

It's the toughest battle out there. I know there are brothers and sisters out there who like me are going through this mental, emotional and physical war. Sincerely pray and believe GOD will help us emerge stronger. Amen.
I am watching this video and I’m trying to hold back the tears because of my present reality and the ongoing hurt that I feel because of it. My divorce is final at first I was relieved, I was excited but then two days later the reality of finality hit me that my marriage was officially over and it brought me to a very low place. The loneliness, the embarrassment etc. I hope that one day these wounds will heal.
My husband and I separated today. I spent the last 10 years by his side. I know it’s the right choice because for so long I believed I deserved all the emotional abuse but now I know I don’t. It hurts more than I thought it would but I know somehow God will use this to bring me a hope and a future.

This happened to me today; we've separated and we're getting divorced.
I’m going through a divorce that I did not want. I am in so much pain inside. My heart is shattered into a million pieces. I really hope God will meet me in this place and rescue me. I keep begging for him to come but so far he hasn’t. Divorce is so wrong. it is the worst feeling I have ever felt in my entire 45 years on this planet. @@pastrami00it’s okay for me. I still feel sad some days but realize a lot I put up with hasn’t been occurring anymore. More peaceful days now when I come home, even if it’s to an empty place. I just put my faith in God and this helps during the low moments which are much less frequent and much more mild . My buddy said “in six months you will feel a lot better and have more money saved while married, even with child support.” He was right. Still miss my old house and have to let that go, but life has been more peaceful. Also, when I say “no” and she loses her mind, I only have to hang up and go back to whatever I was doing. I don’t have to worry about the endless conflict she will create in the same home. And then worry whether I should just give in.

Thank you for this. I left a 35 year marriage when the Holy Spirit quicken me to leave. I thought I was about to lose my mind. I felt my soul was dying. I was spiritually sinking and after 2 months post leaving found out I was physically dying or could have after doctors found I was born with a brain malformation and seizure disorder. I found out the Holy Spirit was also protecting me physically as the doctors advised me to not be in a stressed environment as no medicine can prevent seizures if you are stressed out. It has not been easy and the last thing I do not want is to not be in God’s will. It’s now been 15 months since I left and now filed for divorce. I am at peace with it. Instead of condemning divorce based on traditional teachings, you are giving us hope and encouragement. This is so precious to me. Thank you again and many continued blessings to your ministry and family.
I pray for yr healing. I left a 32 year marriage. Only God can pull you out of that kind of agony. Besides its dangerous for yr health n very survival to live in any union that has the potential to kill you.
This is the worst pain one can ever have in this life. And it hurts. More than hurts.
In Jesus' powerful, glorious name, we will all get through this tough time. I'm going through the pain as well, it is indescribable right now, but we won't be the first or last. God has the right one for me. (I married young) and he will lead me to someone who will help me glorify the Lord.

This is a great topic. Me and my wife have been separated for over 3 years and we're just now going forward with a divorce. This has been a very painful issue because we have 3 kids together. I also have two kids from a previous relationship so this has divided us tremendously. She even moved out of state and is now dating someone else. I tried dating myself hoping it would heal my heart, but I also seemed to end up meeting women who were so ungodly it's a shame. In fact every time I met a nice young Lady I felt like I was attracted too, I felt like God was showing me that dating nonbelievers will only bring more hardship on my life. So I feel like now I need to listen more closely to what God is showing me, and finish this divorce so I can better myself with him. A minister I talked to who's gone through a divorce and remarried told me that I should continue to grow spiritually because he experienced that same hurt and loneliness that I seem to deal with off and on. He also told me that God can use this hardship in my life and turn it into a blessing, as it happened for him..So as I finalize this I will continue to better myself with God, because as the minister told me, while he's building me up for that next blessing of a soulmate in my life, he's also guiding her spiritually.
So for those who are dealing with this or have already finalized theirs; Both men and women, God bless you. Also don't worry about those who talk down on you for not making it work, because Satan will use whoever he can to bring you down and get you to feel like God has left you out to dry. It's still not easy to deal with but I know God has my back..But anyways God Bless everyone on here..

I'm 22 and theirs only 2 real reasons mentioned in the bible for remarrying, other than abuse and abandonment, infidelity and spouses death. God sees you married forever as so you know the word of God. Part of repentance is undoing the wrong , it's better to go back and marry your first spouse than burn in hell for carnal reasons. God loves you and this message is for good.
I lost my dad after my divorce. I could not come to terms with both my losses. Its 3 years since the divorce. Of all the dark things ive been through. Its the most heart wrenching experience.
Divorce is hard. I'm going through it. 14 years and five kids ages 13, 11, 9 7 and 4. I don't want the divorce but my wife does. I even stayed through rap patches and infidelity. Mr Evens. If you only knew the type of impact you have on my husband. Your sermons on the radio helps him get through his day. He said when he comes home he wishes to meet you. But feels it might be impossible, because of your busy schedule. Your famous to him Mr Evens. So I listened to a couple of your sermons and now understand why he admires you. I could never believe that I would face it one day. It’s so so painful..
I’ve been married for about one year and 4 months to my wife. We have a newborn and she wants a divorce. I truly believe that she has a lot of mental and emotional health problems that she refuses to deal with from her past, and has dumped all of her hurt, pain, and trauma on me. She also has been showing signs of being depressed and of a narcissist. She’s made statements of not wanting to be alive anymore and hearing voices in her head.
I’m very concerned for her and our son.
I know that marriage isn’t perfect and takes lots of practice and patience. I’m here and have never wavered in my faith that God can turn this thing around.
I have never said that I wanted to leave my marriage every time something didn’t go my way or if my wife did something that I didn’t like.
I know that God has put us together for a reason, and I’m praying that He continues to do a work on the both of us. Whatever issues my wife is going through, I pray that He can help her because she has shut me totally out of her life and is trying to do the same when it comes to our son.
I also believe that she is at the point, that she will not listen to anyone. She has blocked my entire family and church family off of Facebook. She’s running from something but refuses to communicate with me or anyone who gives her Godly advice and wisdom.
If she is one of those individuals that has to go back into the world for Satan to completely beat her up so that she can learn how to totally surrender and depend on God and not on her own self will, I will always be here to be her husband.
Unfortunately, I did have to leave our home to stay with my parents. She became physically violent towards me and has locked me out of our home.
For any believers in Christ who know the power of prayer, please keep us in prayer. All I want is my wife back. Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

God bless, Strenghten yourself in the lord. 1 Sam 30:6. Confess sins for both of you. Start fasting and prayer, she is your wife. Be bold and take the responsibity to fight for her in spiritual battle. There are a lot of prayer video's on RUclips how to pray for restoration of your marriage. Pray a lot from 00.00 a.m till 6 a.m. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to pray To do this you will receive power to pray and your Love for her will grow more and more
I suggest you place this concern at the feet of your Pastor and Elders.
There is no shame in gathering a team of prayer warriors.
In addition to prayer I suggest you fast (read and study how to fast and DO IT)

I filed Friday ! I’m happy and sad all at once. God don’t want us hurt. We was unequally yoke. I pray he don’t like me fasting the devil was mad but he allowed the devil to do the things he did. But I’m not blaming him or me I need to move forward no man hits a woman or abuse y’all children you guys stay lifted and I’m praying for healing for you all God is able !!!!!!! He is always there use him talk to him seek first the kingdom !

I’m currently sitting in my dorm, by myself, crying, broken, tired, and in pain. I have to wake up everyday and not let it affect me because it will effect other people. Yet, I’m the middle man between my parents and the anchor at the same time. I have so many relationships on my plate that I don’t have time to deal with the relationship with myself. I don’t understand why God is putting me through pain. It’s been pain after pain and I’m only 20. I’m a broken young man and a heart after God own heart. The two don’t go together and yet they do. Divorce is consuming me because of how we got here. As a man, I can’t openly express my feelings and when I do, I get canned for doing so. So this is the best I got. God, I pray for understanding and healing. Put people in my life that will fill my cup, and may your spirit lead my future wife, for she has to endure this heart of mine, amen.

Amen , today was my final day for divorce . I filed for divorce because my husband cheated on me , and not once but many times . When I find out , he come and apologize . Last year , on the 18 of May , I was at work during the night , my daughter decided to come home that night , she found him with the young girl in my house . He is 57 years and I am 56 years , and we were married for 31 years , but he was busy with young girls , and other men 's wives .I am born again and I was tired for that . After the daughter found him , he apologized , came with his friends to ask for my apology , but I heard enough .I thank God for always being there with me during this journey of divorce because it took only 7 months , God was at work .

Divorce is painful however you look at it. I grew up in a Christian church with the man I got married to. He was a man who seemed dedicated but after we got married he committed adultery until the day we separated and finally got divorced. We have been divorced for over fifteen years. Divorce solves nothing. It is a legal separation in the eyes of man. I was hurt and cried my eyes out. I have three children and I pray for them each day. I thank God that I have been able to have a deeper relationship with him. I love him more and more and my purpose is put God in my life before anyone else. He has always been a bad influence on the children as they were growing up they knew what he was involved in.
What I find is pastors do not tell the men in the church about the serious responsibility God has placed upon them as husbands. I do hope that Christian women continue to seek God and make God their priority. If the church continues to soft on men we can be assured that there will be more divorces. I do not put all the blame on men but more often than not men want the best of both worlds and it just wont work. Pastors need to preach the word and call sin by its rightful name.

The absolute hardest pain I ever had to make it through. For us both.
My husband and I have been together for 12 years, married just 5 months and since then everything falling apart, i also got saved 4 months ago. He just stop talking to me for no reason without an explanation and all I feel is wrath and bitterness because I feel so unfairly treated. I know satan is trying to test me but I know God is in control. I will not be a fool and I strongly feel I deserve better because I have been a good partner to him. I'm going through a divorce right now for the mistakes I had committed time and again. Chances was given but I took it for granted, finally, when the divorce was served, I woke up and want to change and is changing, but it's too late. I thought I could use Faith to save my marriage but as of now, the divorce proceeding still stands. I can't imagine my life separated from my wife and kids. It's so hard to even focus on God when all these are happening. My faith is tested and shaken.
I understand and I am going through the exact same thing. You are not alone. I try to accept it and move past it but it won’t leave my mind. Making me think I need to fight just for my husband to shut me down because I’ve hurt him too much threatening divorce out of anger. And I feel helpless.
I’m also getting help for my mental And spiritual health. But it’s like it’s too late. Then at the same time my healing process only makes me want to fix it . 😢

Keep praying for eachother's salvation and for your loved one's salvation. I layed my hand on my spouse's shoulder and said to him, "Be born again in Jesus' name.", and he's been believing in God ever since ( he didn't believe in God before I did this). He is so much more respectful now.
Pray for your enemies salvation cuz if your spouse or ex has been unfaithful then its a good idea to pray it.
The right one for you is out there if its your ex or not, they may be in need of prayer also so pray for their salvation also. Keep praying for people's spiritual maturity cuz everyone can change and God is the one that does it, He is at work in them!

I am going through this right now. My wife announced the day before yesterday that she wanted a separation, 16 hours later she was looking at her own apartment and signed the lease. She moves out on July 30th. This is just the first step to divorce, not a test run separation to see if we can work things out. She is dead set on this, no option for counseling, no changing her decision at all. I am absolutely devastated, words cannot explain it. I am not in the position to really survive without her here.

I always wanted to be married and have a family. I failed at my marriage with the sin in adultery. I lost a child to miscarriage and lost a child as a result of foster care reunion and broke the adoption. I have been divorced foe almost 12 yrs. And have had several broken relationships in this time. I have been unable to forgive myself and move on. And believe I will ever have a Godly healthy, happy marriage and family again. I filed for divorce out of anger and I regret it, it hasn’t been finalized yet but my husband has said over and over to me that he is not coming back. This is my worst regret. I try to accept it and move forward but it takes over my mind making me think I need to fight then I’m just met with the reality that I need to let go.
