I think there's a good case for bagging up the wipes for the customer to dispose of, and charge them for the time it takes to retrieve them.

these are throwback video's joe doesn't do unblock as much now since he's running jem's other company which consists of cctv work which can't be filmed for obvious reasons, joes still with mersey rod, we just won't see him as much now,

Love the fact you're starting to compile old video's into one, love it leo, keep it up, also for any viewer that is new, this video is a throwback to the unblocks the team did, these aren't recent ones, also we don't see joe as much since he runs jems other company doing cctv work which can't be filmed for obvious reasons but he's still with mersey rod, overall love the throwbacks leo 👍
I hope people are now seeing what all of these “flushable wipes” are really doing to the sewer lines. 95 percent of that always seems to be the issue. Stop using soooooo many wipes for the Love of a Pete! Those sewer systems are just not designed to move those lumpy things through.
But most clients say “ we don’t use wipes”🙄🙄

It may be worth noting, the dark crust on the outer layer of the sewage is a sign of oxidation. The more oxidised, the longer it has been there, and the darker it will be! Can help to age the blockage.

Well what a great compilation. 1st one Jem showed me what it feels like to do a summasault lol that camera wizzing round sent me dizzy lol. 2nd one poor Joe was always haunted by wipes no wonder he does a different job now lol. Jem sir. That root clean out is perfect for Justin, Joe or Andy. You need to put the juniors to work. I am 65 and do the same thing. l handle the rough stuff and the kids on the job won't learn or cope when the job gets rough.

The last manhole I would suggest full replacement. The bricks are falling apart, and roots will fill it back up again.
Most alleyways I see on here need a good clean and a good pressure wash and my word some people really need to clean their patios

A quick question for you lads, my soil stack keeps blocking for our toilet upstairs, the sink and bath drain via another smaller pipe to our drains. I'm going to cut out a circle in the soil pipe. I don't know what the things are called that go in the hole once I've cleared the soil pipe?
Watching your videos is giving me inspiration to do it myself and I hope I don't get splashed by doo doo because I would vom 😅

The amount of wipes in that second video is astounding. I still think it's about time drainage companies were obliged to report these to the local water board, who would then issue the property owner with a fine. Why should all of us have to pay increased water rates for these idiots?

Joe. Just a suggestion. Line the bucket with the bag and throw the wipes in there. Less steps and less cleanup.
I tried suggesting that several videos ago and some azz wipe chewed me up and down. Bitc’d at me about voicing something to keep it neat and easy to move. Guess you didn’t catch it because you’re not a woman. The lout who did it was obviously misogynistic.
With you working on one of these deep man holes with roots and you're working by your self. Why don't you get a shoulder harness and a anchor you can hook to the van or screw a anchor into the ground . This way you will be safe and you can use both hands. That might speed up the job.

When you's are running low on water and dont have any outdoor taps, have you's never thought about buying a fire hydrant attachment? Makes it easier for yourselves?
You have to request permission and are charged for access. The water companies will loan you to adapter and have meter built into them.
Fire hydrants are for the fire service.
Wipes jobs seem to take so much effort and water. I'd be black listing them unless they stop using wipes!

I think I could deal with the turds, the stench etcetera, but those clumps of wipes are just awful. Remember Joe, a couple of years ago, couldn’t stop gagging, so I guess I’m excused…

Alrighty.......regarding these wipes. They're a problem and I hear the concern with flushing them. Why not remove them from the blockage, the garbage you can access, rather than try and chop it all up and continue to run it through the drainage pipes the rest of the way? It's obviously a huge issue with all of that trying to pass thru that system to begin with or you wouldn't be there.
1st job, could the customer not have just closed the cats in 1 room? Some people are so inconsiderate.
