Personally, I think starbucks is overvalued if you look at old earnings rates. But in a turn-around play, if the turn-around works, old valuations get thrown out the window. I think if the CEO can do with Starbucks, what he did with Chipotle, I think this is severely undervalued.
Wall Street predicts 170$ by year end. Intrinsic value is around 150$. Strong momentum besides the drama from the chinese AI knockoff ChatGPT skin. Just 2 companies, Microsoft and Meta, are looking to spend almost 150 billion on datacenters this year not including other hyperscalers. Definite Buy
Holding SBUX, as one of my higher yielders. Not buying tho. Valuations based on PE ratios are not as useful right now since they are in a turnaround situation, imo its more important right now whether or not you believe they are and will increase their profitability in the coming years. COSTCO is never a sell, but always looking like its too expensive to buy. Forever hold.
The reason 3M is down 25% in revenue is because it spun off its health care business last year. Therefore the comparison with the sector median is misleading.
I really don't understand palantirs valuation. I get it the CEO is promising theranos levels of innovation, but we just don't know what's real and what's not at this point. I bought at 6.58 and sold at 16.80 because I thought it was overvalued at that point. The run up after that blew my mind. Still made some good money on it and I wish I would have held half my position but whatever the market makes no semse these days.
I also don't understand why people keep pouring money into PLTR. Even if it was to grow 100% yoy, which is clearly not, it would still take 4 years to be even remotely close to a price that makes sense. And we're talking about a company that makes most of its money out of a government that's already got a serious debt problem..... so it really doesn't make any sense.
As you said yourself, you don't understand, and you're paying for what you don't know. You should find out what it was that you didn't know, and figure out what you're missing now too.

I believe I can take care of my money better than someone else. For those who doubt Walmart's strength, their management is guiding the company toward the future. Should be increasing dividend within the next couple of months. More news as it becomes available.
I love Amazon as a long term stock but with the China tarrifs I think we'll see some pull back on Monday, I've sold and took my profit but I will look again in a week or 2
@theonebuckethead yeh I mean it's not going to actually effect them that much but it's not always about what will actually happen to the company but how the stock market reacts
