Did any of these destinations spark your curiosity? Or are there any places in the region we didn't visit but you would definately recommend? Feel free to share with us below :)
I’ll be visiting Salzburg in June and I think I’ll be using your itinerary almost exactly as is. Thank you so much! Were you able to book all the bus and train rides online? Can you share any links you may not have posted?
Hey there! To be honest, the Salzburg Verkehr app was basically all we needed. We just searched for the route, bought the to- and from- tickets and thats it. Just needed to show the QR code to bus drivers or to the conductors on the trains. I also remember that for the Werfen ice caves we bought the tickets upfront (they sell them with specific timeframes to enter the area). I understand these can sell out during the days so its a good idea to buy beforehand: www.eisriesenwelt.at/en/ (right now they are closed, but from end of April they wil be open again till end of October) Hope you'll have a great time when you go, it is a truly magical area to discover 😊
Hi great video,I am gonna travel in 1st week of may any idea how would be the weather in Salzburg and Vienna? And where do you think I should stay considering my 4 years old daughter, hallstat, Salzburg or wolfgang?
Thanks 😊 I'm not an Austria native, however generally May weather tends to be nice and warm (not hot) in this area of Europe, but can be colder in the mountain regions. Personally what I do is that I check Google weather or accuweather a week before travel and pack accordingly 😊 if you stay for longer and visit multiple places in the area I would use Salzburg as the headquarters and visit St Wolfgang, Hallstatt etc from there. I hope you and your daughter will have a great time 😊
@@StuffedCabbageAdventures I know the public transport system is really good in Salzburg and surrounding but I would love to have an experience of driving over there at least once so one day I wann drive, so what do you suggest it should be Salzburg to hallstat or wolfsgang/lakes area?
Hey there, I used Sbg Verkehr app for planning the trips in Salzburg. Although I didn't remember now, I looked up in the app and it roughly take 70 minutes from Salzburg Station to Königsee, including a switch in Berchtesgaden. Boats depart from Königsee 😊
