I used a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition for the aerial shots but a GoPro Hero 2 for the timelapses.

I've been planning to build a QAV500 for over a year and I keep coming back to this video as one of my inspirations to keep doing it. Parts are getting ordered next week :)
Haha nice. Good luck with the build :) I would get the longer arms with bigger props so you get more flight time. I have the short version and the flight time is a bit too short.

Fantastic. Takk Fyrir! It brought back vivid memories of our August vacation. The scenes of Jökulsárlón and Sólheimajökull (both of which I visited) were awesome. And the choice of music was inspired.

Absolutely awesome video! This is a guy that "gets it" when it comes to aerial videos. An unexpected perspective, 3D motion and composition wins out over high-altitude pans every time. Lots to learn from here!

Yeah that's right, and the rotating head is just a egg-timer, which I hot glued to the small tripod and one of the gopro mounts and it just works very well ;)

Skarphéðinn Snorrason I worked with telecom, electronics, Loran-C and operating Jan Mayen radio plus the airport. In such a place, you have to do several tasks. :) I created the Jan Mayen website in 2000, when we got online via satellite. www.jan-mayen.no.
