I have had mine for about 6 months and feel like it needs different pickups and it would really open up. If you were going to look at changing - what would you replace with. I’m thinking about lollartrons - thanks God Bless.
Steve, thanks for the kind words. I have had that guitar for all of three days. It's a little darker than other Gretsch guitars I've owned. I'm going to disconnect the mud switch and see what happens. Not sure about pickup swaps yet. I'll cross that bridge if needed.

Hey Troy, I was just wondering about your thoughts about getting a good drive tone when playing a gretsch through the superbolt. I’ve been playing an electromatic for awhile and I find that when I play it through a superbolt it just sounds like a clean sound with some gain blended in in the background no matter how much I turn up the gain. It might be because gretsches have so much high end...
