    You can actually close the lid of your frunk without having to run the wire for the trickle charger under it (towards the front or side of the car). There is a gap in the cowl by the windshield that allows the wire to go through it, allowing you to close the frunk but not having it touch the wire!

      Keeping the cord through the front storage with the lid only partially shut (it eventually turns off the interior storage light) will keep a caution message on the DIC to keep one from driving away with the tender plugged in.

      I close mine to the first click. The light goes out, but the cord is still free to move more than it does if the frunk is closed all the way. I’m more comfortable doing that. Thanks for the video!

    As soon as you buy a new car, go to Discount Tire. They will sell you road hazard after they inspect. Best money I’ve ever spent because tires are not road hazard under your warranty from Chevrolet or anyone else normally.

    Just to remind me to unplug the charger before taking off. Better safe than sorry.

    I disagree with closing the frunk completely. If you happen to forget the charger is plugged in, the "frunk open" warning is a great way to keep from embarrassing yourself by backing out with the charger still plugged in as a friend of mine did... just saying

    • @JJAAZZMan
      @JJAAZZMan 6 месяцев назад +2

      I agree! I ALMOST did that once with my C7. I was in a bit of a hurry to leave and almost did that.Luckily I had the charger hanging from a hose reel on the wall nearby and it caught my eye just in time to prevent ripping it out of the hatch and or the wall plug. Good advice!

      There's a simple solution to your fears. Simply print up a warning on a piece if paper,saying " charger plugged In" place it in front of your dash. I do and see it immediately whenever I open the door and sit behind the wheel.

      @kevin. I just took delivery. Only regret I am still mulling over is not getting the Z07 package. I wasn’t sure stiffness of ride or the CCB reliability.
      Are you getting Z07 and what are your thoughts

    • @kevinhacken9801
      @kevinhacken9801 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@Texas_Clay I specifically didn’t get the Z07. The main reason is that I am not going to be tracking that much, so those tires would be not be optimal. I had similar tires before and you get nasty chatter at slow speeds, they are not great in the rain, and they wear super fast. Also, I didn’t want to pay for the brakes. As far as ride, I don’t personally know, but the reviews I have seen on it is that it isn’t horrible, since you can adjust it just street use.
      So unless you are mostly tracking I think you did the right thing.

    Hi Rick, in the C8 it’s better to bring the cord up past the hinge to the top no pinching there at all. Then a question, the tender that comes with the ERay is the same as with the others but the ERay has a lithium battery and these battery tenders are lead acid chargers, is this not a problem?
