I can easily tell which one is the RR 15 and 13 . I'm a big fan of Russell's, but I wouldn't say that it's Bourbon of the year. I was able to buy 2 bottles on July 3rd, from the distillery. Everyone has a different pallet, but I think RR 13 was better. I'll sip and share the open bottle, but the other one will just be on the shelf unless someone wants to give me a small fortune for it. There's several bottles 250 and under that are better.
Nathan - I really think you should do some kind of blind with the RR 15 and include bottles like Old Carter, GTS, stellar ECBP batches, etc - you could do almost double blind by identifying some set of stellar bottles as a pool and let somebody pick 3 of those to include with RR 15 and see what the outcome is.
OK I'm 3 minutes in on 480p phone resolution and I know glass 1 is the 15 year. Come on. If you aren't doing colored Glen's it's a biased blind. It's so easy to tell.
Guess you haven't been paying attention to Jim beam lately. The hardin's creek and Jacob's well.... Best value in whiskey. Aged and less than 10 per year.
Never had the 15 but working on it lol I have the TY-Q store pick and absolutely love it I’ve never blinded it but I think I like that one better than the 13 yr
Started out at 75 bucks. Wild turkey went nuts on prices last few years. I get rare breed and go with jack daniels and Jim beam for my high aged good priced bourbon!

You needed colored glens for this. The RR15 is DARK in color lol. So easy to see which it is
I could tell which one was the 15 right away because of how dark it is. Awesome video/blind cheers!🥃

Great blind! Wish I could find the Russell's, I have the Rare Breed but haven't seen the others. Thanks, a lot for the review!!
Is Wild Turkey the most reliable distillery? Or Jack Daniels? Or…

I haven’t had either yet. But thanks for the heads up. I’ll take a try!

Wonder how it holds up against Pappy 15yr?
Dude! Super jealous, I’m still looking for a Russ 13 let alone the 15. Congrats my friend! @Anderw, you lucky bastar*!!
I got two already at 450 and I think it’s easily worth it. It hangs with gts and willett which are worth way more than that.
Was your buddy in American Pie?
13 for the win
$250 + if you can find it 🤔 . Nothing is worth that price to me anyway 😂
What’s MSRP on 13 year?
I might be wrong, but I think it’s $150.00.

Not a bottle I’ll ever see and if I do I won’t be buying it just over my cap. Enjoy!!
