After a confirmation of Xbox backwards capability to the one and series x of older Rockstar games including MCLA, there’s little possibility a remastered in the works....

@@acearroww I don't know any people who are able to clean it up, I know it's possible though because Shazam ID'ed the Silversun Pickups song in another GC 2007 video, even though you can just barely make that out.

@@acearroww because it doesn't pick up the song as a actual song but just background noise. if someone were to isolate the audio properly we might have a shot at ID'ing it.
Two songs I think that legit should have been in the game is Kanye West's Flashing Lights and Tarantula by Pendulum.

The song was in the Crazy Taxi games as well if I’m not mistaken, although I am happy they removed California Uber Allies, it doesn’t fit the game at all

if those made it into the game, the soundtrack would've been absolutely legendary. I think midnight club today would have a better chance than back then, updates for studios are easier to implement, live services are a thing and dlc keeps the game alive and going etc etc. It would definetely have a place in today's market, there aren't street racers anymore except nfs and we can see just how defeated the series is going back and forth trying to gain an identity. Midnight club knew what it was and what it was supposed to be. I love midnight club, I wish it comes back before I get too old haha.

Although At this point I am more interested in getting a new Midnight Club at release over GTA6.... Jeah... But not all is bad considering other game companies Track record recently. I wonder if by modding either the physical game or the game save files on both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 would it be possible to access these music files and enable them back into the full game like they were originally intended. It’s not like anyone can’t find the music files since they exist on the game disc/download and is presumably apart of the individual save files as well. Maybe some rogue hacker kid can modify their copy or make a program that would allow these files to play in the game. The same method could also work for Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition and DUB Edition Remix, since there were music files that didn’t make it into the final cut but yet are still present on the game disc/download as well as the save files on both PS2, PS3 and the original Xbox/Xbox 360. Its really interesting to see the games in their present state but also cool to see what they could have really been like. I will say that it would be really interesting to play through both games again with the cut/hidden music re-added in.
They're not actually on the disc, just mentioned in text files. It would be very nice to see them readded by modding the playlist for new entries!

Now on Xbox One Retrocompatibility removed some songs of the original soundtrack like "Gliss-Blue Sky" :c
Same for Electric Feel (one of my favorite) and the Social Distorsion song

yeah. journalists who did "hands-on" articles on the game around july 08 got to see a build with at least most of the cut hip hop tracks in, incl dope boys (and also other cut tracks such as linkin park - what ive done I assume)

With modern tech, I hope any Midnight Club gets reversed engineered just to simply restore cut soundtrack
it doesn't need to be reverse engineerd. the way the audio works is very similar to gta iv, and people have already figured out how to add music to that game years ago. only nobody from that scene wants to work on MCLA unfortunately :( however, restoring the cut music is very possible. we can create new audio files and add new text strings to the game, it's just a question of someone putting in the effort to crack the game's audio metadata files
