Muse write awesome complex songs but yet so catchy that you almost overlook and miss the complexity and talent of Matt's songwritting abilities. This song is beautifully cruising on a 5/4 signature (reminding of Queen of the Stone Age) before landing on a great polyrhythmic ending with Matt and Chris playing a 5/4 riff while Dom switches to a (kind of) 4/4 beat (and let alone the beautiful first guitar solo/bridge). This song is just beautifully arranged.
I also forgot but is worth to mention, the crash hitting on 2/2 with the rest staying on 5/4 during the guitar solo is also amazing

I really think Dave would be very amused by the music video for Knights of Cydonia. It's a space western full of drama, passion and space lazers. Very Muse. I remember Dave saying bonanza about that song. It's honestly very hard finding a music video more entertaining :)

Finally!! I've been waiting for this. Ty for the vid 😌 one of my fav songs to play on a guitar. I like this performance a lot cuz of the acting part at the end and how the guy just lays there for the next song.

Awesome , one of my favorites . Obviously we all share your first time of hearings .. but I do hope you add some of these to your own personal playlists. Muse do have a familiar pattern to their songs but knowing and being familiar when the big epic moments come makes all the sometimes long winded build up worth it. All of thier early albums are fantastic , newer stuff still good but you have to do 2 things 1) listen to a full album belting out in the car on a long drive( they are often epic scenic and add to a drive and 2( must try and see Muse live . I have the pleasure 3 times and its on another level
