I just got one for $60, and the fit, and finish are great! I wish it wasn't assisted, but 20cv with aluminum scales for the price is great. It is heavier for a medium/light duty folder, but I don't mind that. I'm just impressed with how they were able to do the low price point. I want to get the Bareknuckle next.
Pretty spot on the description. I received this from you in the gaw. It’s great. Never really used a speed assist before. But after actuall carrying it and using it twice it’s great option for edc. Good size and overall very nice quality. Thank again.
It's a great knife, I love it. I'm not a big fan of the assist, but the materials are too good to turn down for the price. It is built quite well. I like the handle design, and the thing can take a beating quite well. I've had both the m390 and 20cv version. They are great knives.
Overall a very fair review. Some people really hate assisted knives and it shows in review. I have never owned one and don't know if I will. Like you said for my 80 bucks going to get something else.
I would like one of those, but I am not interested in the green for the 20CV or Black for M390...I would like the other color options in these blade materials... Burnt orange would be my preference in either higher end steels with a stone washed blade.
I had a few of the M390 Link and Dividend, the clip logo is far smaller on this one than it was in the past. I too would like to see a clean clip, or make it an engraving like the Blur and Leek have.
All of these things mean NOTHING if the knife is not safe. The major flaw/drawback on this knife is one (1). There is no jimping where your thumb would go when cutting or applying pressure. As a result it's slippery as butter. Benchmade puts jimping in the exact same spot on all their knives and on my Kershaw Blur, and all other Kershaws, it had jimping there for added grip safety. Otherwise; a great knife and value.
It could make for an awesome Launch series addition if Kershaw just went ahead and made it an auto.
I like this comment so much I am going to pin it.
One of the launches has an identical blade shape
@JoseVazquez-xg4xw the Launch 1!

Thanks! Congrats again!
Love the upgrades on the new Link. Good review, thanks for sharing 👍😊

Yeah this was surprisingly good. I didn’t think I would like it because of the assist but I actually liked it a lot.

I just can't decide which version to buy? 🤷 oh well I guess I'm buying a few of them then 🤣
Really sweet blades buddy!!!
I want that 940 Soooooo Bad!!! Lol
Great review!!!
Give me this knife with thumb studs and bronze washers...(non assisted) still a great value!
111111111Tiger that would be nice but might drive up the price a little since tolerances would become more of an issue.
Great looking knife 👍
Seems like the bareknuckle and the link are soooo close in size and shape. I Much prefer the non assist of the bareknuckle
Would you consider de-assisting it?
Probably not. De-assisted knives don’t have the best action.
Looks like a great value...but I to am not a fan of assisted knives.
I’m not a fan of assisted “speedsafe” knives. I’ve had too many open in my pockets.
It has a strong detent. And based on its design, the flipper tab won't touch or peck at anything in your pocket because of the handle design.
I haven’t had any assisted knives open in my pocket but I could see how that could be a problem.
"Is that a speedsafe knife in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
Honestly, never been an issue for me either.
