When the job is done correctly and it has to be done by professionals, then the cost is worth it! As you said, it will outlast the machine now! 👍🏻😎💯

I would say you got a very reasonable rate considering the cost of material has just about tripled in the past three years, along with double the shipping rate and fuel costs. Nice job and thanks for sharing the video.

Nice job. Seems like a nice little machine. You have a very nice place there. Thanks for sharing.

It’s amazing how tough it can be to change a filter. I think it’s a competition to see how tight of a spot they can put them in. 😏

I dont know if youve already got any comments regarding the aux hydraulic tee's you mentioned in last video. But i think the short piece that you held up against the thumb mounts is actually supposed to installed opposite to the arm swing cylinder. When you block the swing cylinder, all the flow will be directed to your aux ports. Thanks for making these nice videos :-)

Where I am the machinist will charge $150-200 per hour. For the amount of work you had done I’d say that was reasonable. And yes, they would have put new bushings in. 😊

What about your hydraulic and final drive oils, did you change those ? Nice old machine. Good job 👍

Did they put the king pin shim in at the machine shop? Pretty amazing how good shape the old girl is. Be cool to add a additon to the house to make a larger shop space for these larger jobs with a nice crane in it.

Congrats on getting the front of ur Excavator boom off and put-back on without getting hurt. two thumbs-up..

Ought to put a couple of the small ones out on the boom, one on either side. Then you can see down in a hole you might be digging. Most newer machines have them out there.

one of the small lights could go near your dipper arm , where most excavators have them

Dave have you considered getting a remote Mike that you wear when recording? Hard to follow as about half of the video I could hardly hear what you were talking about. Keep up the good vids. Nice repair of the JD excavator.

I think I hear just a note of sarcasm talking about using the adjustable wrench instead of the correct size wrench on EVERY nut and bolt on the machine. Surely you aren't getting advice on how to wrench. Looks like you know what you're doing to me. 👍 Enjoy all you're videos.

Yes that was right and they do put bushings in.

The tiny movement might be in the two pins which were not replaced.

    I'm not a fan of John Deere,but if that's actually a Yanmar,then You've got a good machine!!
Andrew Camarata has used and abused his Yanmar excavator for years and it's still going strong 😂😂😂

Looks like your diesel tank needs to be flushed out by the state of the filter.
