    I hate backing a backhoe off the a trailer i get the same feeling

  • @nathanbillingsley42
    @nathanbillingsley42 Месяц назад +4

    That's why most people back the sidsteer on the trailer. All the weight is in the back. Start backing it on and drive it off. You will be able to easily distribute the weight on the trailer.

    • @OffThePathWithKevin
      @OffThePathWithKevin  Месяц назад +3

      We have tried it both way and backing it on is way worse than backing it off! You still have to drive the machine over a break over point! Plus if you have a mulching mower on driving off it falls into the ramps!

    • @nathanbillingsley42
      @nathanbillingsley42 Месяц назад +4

      @OffThePathWithKevin I agree with the mulching head part. Any attachment bigger than the bucket or forks I go forward. But when lighter in the front, I prefer to back it on. But everyone has their own way. I've seen guys drive it on then do a 180 on the trailer to drive it off. I'm not doing that.

    When i was delivering all the flooring material to the first Buffalo Wild Wings in San Angelo back in 2008-2009 maybe, this guy rolled up in a skid steer and he had his hands full unloading 2000# pallets of tile and grout. It was a sight to be seen!

    You had me cracking up I am a heavy equipment operating engineer with Local 18 I've been doing it for 30 years and that was the first machine I learned how to operate but on rubber tires the tracks are better you're not going to fall backwards cuz it only can go so far and when you hit the point of where Tracks is on the fulcrum point you still have half your tracks are on the ground so stop worrying about that ur safe.

I don't want to say heat stroke but some kind of heat distress and the Dr said if it happened once it's more likely to happen again so do be careful out there. Hydration.
