This was interesting! Thank you for reminding us to keep the sabbath holy. I’m actually curious to read what the New Testament has to say about this. I was prepping my space without even realizing it because it gives me clarity and peace. But I think it’s important to be intentional and focused on Gods original intention for this day as well. So thanks again!
Yes!!! In the New Testament we can honestly look at Jesus as an example. It mentions a few times about Him keeping the Sabbath and the way He spends His time on that day honors the Lord. But yes it's super important for us to be intentional about it! I have seen such great fruit after incorporating this in my life!
Great start to sabbath. However we are supposed to cook our food before sundown that is a part of the preparation according to Exodus 35:3 Jeremiah 17:22
We cannot buy food on the sabbath because that is causing someone else to work on the rest day. Exodus 20:10

Nive video. I try to observe the Sabbath and rest and focus on God, yes. I really enjoy it and it helps me with my mental health. Bear in mind that just because something is in what we now call 'the old Testament' doesn't mean that the consequences wont apply today (6.47 minute mark)- I know that's not what you meant 🙂

I thought the same thing until recently. The Bible says that God rested on the seventh day, which is Saturday because the week begins on Sunday. This helped me realise that Sabbath is actually on Saturday and not Sunday.
