      copper is good. Aluminium is bad

      Yes, aluminum would be disaster. However, nickle plated copper is the correct choice.
      I believe the copper can "absorb" the gallium over time. It will look gallium plated. You will need to apply more in time. I don't know how long this will take.

      only apply to nickel. no aluminium, no copper. yes your temps will increase over time if applied on copper.

      You just need to reapply after one week if you apply on copper, since it will absorb part of it, and become "stained" with it. Then you can clean it up or just apply a little more and it should be fine. When a surface is nickle plated, it won't absorb or get stained in any way.@@matheusgerunthohundertmark9391
