    Beauty day man! Looks like you’re getting back into the summer groove! I see you have switched over to Orvis for all your gear, which makes sense since you are an Orvis guy, but I wanted to know if your Fishpond stuff let you down at all? Keep the videos coming Alex, I’m like @Black-March, waiting for our spring so I can get back out there and chase stream fish 1/4 those size.

    • @TrippinOnTrout

      The only real rouble I had with the fishpond gear was the zips kept breaking on me. Other than that it was great stuff.

    Awesome video and some great fish. You use the New Zealand strike indicator quite a bit and I've picked it up and used it a few times. Is there a way to have it on your line so it doesn't slide on you while you're casting? Last time I went out mine slid all the way down to my first fly.

    • @davea5987

      Use a little more wool to bulk it up

    • @TrippinOnTrout
      @TrippinOnTrout  11 месяцев назад

      If you are using a tapered leader then the thicker part of the leader will stretch out the tubing and be an issue when you want to fish shallower and slide the indicator down the line to the thinner section.
      Just add some more wool to bulk it out in that case and you should be fine

    • @daguy808
      @daguy808 11 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the reply, didn't even think to add more wool.

    I don't even know what to say, I'm sitting here, snowstorms all around me, having to wait another 6 months before I can start fishing trout again. And every time I see your channel it's just disgusting, your trout are larger than most of the salmon we catch around here. And they're in such simple fishable streams while around here, trout that large are only seen in deep large lakes.

    • @mattier3030
      @mattier3030 11 месяцев назад

      I know his channel makes me want to chuck more then any other. Not ti mention his fish are mind melting. Come down to New Mexico we have some of the best winter fishing and nobody’s ever there. Let me know-Matt
