Mate I've been trying to work this out but was told Samsung is not compatible with Alexa but done what you said and those people are incorrect! Your a bloody genius! Obviously you have to have either smart plug or bulbs to to the other things you mentioned yeah!?? Nice into and precise video once again much obliged . but if you can Confirm my last question I'm sure of what you'll say but be nice for the confirmation! 👍
I am not even at this stage. I tore the muscle in my left arm & rt rotator cuff and connection muscle in front and back. Bc Opioid crisis which has nothing to do with me I am in a ton of pain and thought I get some new things taken care b4 surgery & getting quite frustrated. I just wanted to turn on the new Samsung TV & pair the Xfinity remote and Bixby joined in) haven't completed that process, so confused then Smartthings and Alexa joined the party. I can get to current TV but not my DVR stuff & the set up requires me to press things on a remote with no words & a way I can figure out to move fwd. Just got a Samsung 7 series UHD. Nothing fancy as you can see why. I miss plugging something in a it works. Why do I need Bixby & Samsung if I have Alexa. I am trying to get away from Xfinity, no wonder ppl just stay. Is it going to be a mess to add Ring, etc.? I used my Xfinity apps fine, smart TV the last 3 years fine. I don't know what to do. Feel like taking it all back but as a handicapped person outside of this lovely arms accident I need a back up system to call 911, etc. Have you seen the remote I speak of? 2 years ago got everything set up fine. Any help/directing would be so helpful. Not to be a B but can't take the yammering with my headache, up for 26 1/2 hours with no coffee and you sound calm.
Amber, I’m not quite sure how to respond. You reply is a little confusing to me. First off, I’m sorry about your accident. Sounds like you’re having a lot of difficulty. I hope that condition can be resolved and that your quality of life will improve. My video pertains to controlling smart devices, like smart lights and multi purpose sensors that are connected to a home hub within a Samsung SmartThings set up. My video explains how you can control those and other smart devices by allowing Alexa access to those smart devices via the SmartThings hub. If you need a hands-free way to control your TV you may want to purchase a Amazon Echo Cube. This will allow you to control your high definition TV hands-free with voice commands. I hope this helps.
@@BudsSmartHome Hi there, It works now, it just came to me that I don't even need the Xfinity remote to work as the Samsung remote and TV controls Xfinity. In the past the Xfinity remote controlled the TV, Prime etc. I have an 84 yr old hdcp parent whose house I am trying to make easier/safer. I will go back and watch your videos with a clear head. I guess I just don't get needing 3 things to make things work. I am sure it's logical. If for nothing else their interactions with one another allows them to date, lol.
@@BudsSmartHome Can you fast forward an Xfinity Show with the Samsung remote? I use that a lot on the Xfinity remote. I sat on the remote and some button turned up the volume, not sure what still but found I can talk and ask it to turn the volume down. I hate stumbling thru things rather be taught.😁

Amber Ferrano - I’m not sure about that Amber. Not having an Xfinity remote I’m not too up on what they can do.
When I go to the devices to enable the smart things app my alexa app freezes and crashes any fixes?
@@BudsSmartHome I am using the s5 so I'll just play the long game
