Awesome is a small word for this paintings. The one painting in which the sky is painted like galaxies..makes me feel like having a room in the space between the stars & galaxies.
Thank you for that. I just checked your channel and we’ve got some ridiculously similar interest, minus tap dancing, but maybe that’s something I’m missing out on, and need to check it out a little deeper 😁
Thanks Robin, I love Holland!! My first ceiling was done at my own house, in the living room. My nephews would always give up the guest bedroom to sleep on the couch under the stars. I do love it as well.
Thanks for the compliment! I have a few different styles, they are all made with different materials and techniques, plus the size makes a difference. For pricing please email a few of the specifics and I will respond with a basic quote. curtistheartist@gmail.com
@@ruifaria1377 That would be great. Please send me an email at curtistheartist@gmail.com. Let me know which type of mural that you are looking for, maybe the approximate dimensions, and I can give you a basic quote right away. Thanks!
It doesn't seem like your channel has the proper options for me to message you, or I just don't know how. Sorry that I didn't get a hold of you sooner, but I just saw this message. Please send me an email at curtistheartist@gmail.com. We can discuss your project then, thanks!!
So incredible !!! Are these day/night pics or before/after pics ? Also, I would love to be your student. If I hired you to paint my home would you also teach me how to achieve these techniques ? I am a painter. My medium is acrylics. The fiber optics technique is so beautiful. My favorite is the shooting stars. Thank you for posting 🥰
Thank you again! These are all day/ night, no before and after. I am no teacher, I’ve taught people that were going to assist me, but that’s it. And if you’ve never airbrushed before, you’d have to become an expert there first before you’d be able to get into painting on ceilings, then you can attempt to learn blacklight and invisible blacklight. Sorry to crap on your hopes, but there’s a reason why you can’t really find anyone else that does this, it’s not that easy. If you want to hire me, take some pointers, and prove me wrong, I’m game. Hopefully this didn’t come off as mean, just trying to be honest
I have to ask,, how did you do the lighing and fireworks effect on the walls? CG, fiber optic or projection? It Looks great the way you did it. keep up the great work.
Gorgeous work! Do you ever do the day/night murals on a stretch-ceiling cloth, or on stretchered canvas, to make it easy to change them out, or, to mount to conceal a popcorn ceiling?
Thank you! Cloth glows so you have to gesso it, I use canvas plenty. However, if you have a popcorn ceiling, you’d be wasting time and money trying to mount and cover it. Just have the 1950s scraped off, add a skim coat, and paint it on that ceiling. Or apply canvas to it like wallpaper, I’d imagine that it would sag if you tried to hang it as a stretched canvas.
@@CurtisTheArtist Ive never used glow in the dark paints..never knew those came in so many colors. Yeah...I was afraid of that...having to scrape off the popcorn ceilings....whole house has them, in a diabolically ineffective attempt to stop sounds echoing weirdly throughout the house. In a perfect world, I envision a centered panel on the ceiling, which goes from day to night view into the universe. I particularly loved the one you did with the oak tree branches draping over the ceiling beams, showing sky. But, that is unlikely to happen unless I DIY that.
@@Chimonger1 I mean there's always a way to do it, I'm just saying that It would be cheaper, and less time consuming to remove popcorn ceilings, that are not attractive in the first place. Of course you can drop down a ceiling, frame it all like a wall, stretch it, and blah blah blah, but it's not something that someone would normally DIY. The lack of popcorn ceilings doesn't add echoes, unless you live in a completely empty room. But if you really want those ceilings, it's still possible. (I've got a thing about popcorn ceilings, my dad smoked in the house in the 80s, and those ceilings got nasty after a while, they absorb everything.) And this is all blacklight paint, not glow in the dark.
@@CurtisTheArtist Gads....no one I ever met likes popcorn ceilings!! Those were invented to dampen sounds echoing in rooms...but did very poor job of that. By that time though, popcorn ceilings became the go-to solution to sound-dampen millions of tract houses, trailer houses, & cheap office spaces in strip malls, for several decades. Now, they’re ubiquitous, even in many “high-end” buildings.... ubiquitous, until builders believed it cheaper to install than a painted ceilings. Believed everyone likes it, only because most folks alive today, at least in the US, thinks that’s what ceilings are sposed to look like!! Many “open plan” houses echo sounds in some really weird ways...with or without popcorn ceilings. And yeah...we actually had to walk away from several properties that had been heavily smoked in, for upwards of 40 to 50 years....EW! Those would have had to have the interiors literally gutted to the frame, replastered, etc....no amount of washing could remove that stain & stench. I only thought of covering up the popcorn here, because we can still do that, despite handicaps. It’s much harder to physically scrape popcorn off ceilings, than to use nicer materials to cover it up. I will have to find some black light paints to play with!
Hello . I have a home theater that’s black walls and ceilings. Can I have a invisible mural recreating the night forest scene from the movie Avatar?. Only to be visible when the black light is on?
I Have a question for you, how can I get a desirable result like those. I want to buy a galaxy Ceiling mural and I stick on the ceiling. What material are made of and Do I need to build a light box and stick on it or are uv reacted ?
Haha! Way off. There is no material, light box, or sticking on of anything. I paint these. This is all hand painted artwork. It's not back lit, it's invisible black light paint reacting to a black light. So the only way that I can help you out is if you hire me to come to you and paint it, or if you give me dimensions, have me paint it on canvas, and that can be shipped, and applied like wallpaper. Let me know if you want to pursue either avenue.
On a couple of these jobs, we've used fiber optics. I hand paint stars to go with them, never just lighting. You can see all of the fiber optics in the animated fireworks, lightning, and such.
hello...can u send me name of music for this video??? is beautifull like your work, wow... can u answer me on mail: bihter@centrum.cz THANKS...Good luck with your perfect work:-)
How do you make the lighting struck and a shouting star look like it's real moving what do you use to do this I want to purchase one and where do you buy them from. Do you purchase them from eBay or amazon
The lightning strikes, twinkling stars, shooting stars, animated spiral galaxies, and fireworks are all fiber optics, literally thousands of tiny fibers drilled through tiny holes in the walls and ceiling, that carry light from another source. I believe there are little kits out there, but to have it done right, you would hire someone.
Curtis Stokes I understand. I meant about the vocal instrumental voice of Clare Torry that stands out in this Pink Floyd sound. I love the band. Interesting that reggae beat, and her voice. Thanks 😊
San Castil I know, I was just adding to your comment. I love love love this song and I specifically went looking for a remix of it. I’m not sure who sang it when I saw roger waters at the Hollywood bowl, but I’m pretty sure it made me tear up a little. Amazing!
