Man, there are so many great BBQ pits out there, and yet, here goes another great pit. I dig this one a lot. The e-z access to the charcoal grate from the side is a huge PLUS. No need to lift the cooking grate at all.
@@MeatheadGoldwyn *Hmm, I must have accidentally deleted my post somehow. Strange.* Anyway, Lone Star Grillz (ruclips.net/video/kziTBM9clD0/видео.html) has (almost) what I'm looking for but the front-door(s) are still too close to the cooking grate. I would love the see an adjustable pit in which one can lower the basket (and access w/a single front door) about 20" to 24". Deep enough without the use of a heat diffuser.
Oh but the function is there. I think it is the best grill/smoker combo out there. Read the compete review. And I am sure you know that as quality goes up a notch, price goes up two notches. A $20 wine is usually better than a $10 wine, but rarely twice as good.

THe door is on the side on this one. Single foor. Click the link above for a detailed discussion and a good view of the side door.
At about 1 minute in you can see the large single door access, but it is on the side, not front.

form over function overload....not worth the $$$$$$

This is for those high wage earners that make $300,000 a year or more. Us peasants will have to settle for a $200 walmart grill.
