I'm finding this narrator kind of annoying. Her voice is all soft and husky, then she goes all craggy and rough, up and down and up and down through the whole sentence. Good thing the story is ok, so far.
It's very good but I can't stand her hushed, whispering voice. It drives me mad and her being so intrusive and nosy, even though it's necessary! Stopped listening. A great shame.

I'm so confused. I heard a book on Libby months ago that was so similar yet the main gal was American. What's going on?? Edit: I just looked it up. It's Mr. Churchill's Secretary by Susan Elia MacNeal. Released in 2012. Much more believable and better written. The Blitz is very much in the forefront and we can see why Maggie as chosen to work for Churchill because of her outstanding maths skills.
