The voice recording during this, is Nick Mason (Drummer) landing his plane. Both he and David Gilmour were learning to fly and was the inspiration behind this song. That song of flight and freedom was also right after the bands legal problems with Roger Waters. It marks their creative release.
That magnificent guitar work was by Tim Renwick. He's touring session musician and was also in Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason tour.
He looks like James May. lol
More Pink Floyd Biz!
Just pick any song from this show! You can’t miss 🔥🎸🎤🎹♥️
Sorrow and keep talking from PULSE are both incredible too.
Hey from Perh AU, thank you! Only recently discoveedr Pink Floyd WOW!❤
The Best
Pink Floyd is Legendary, an Experience!
Always great light shows, and a big Shout Out to the backup singers, with Pink Floyd it's nothing but the best!
Can't skip this 1. The G.O.A.T.!!!
Incomparable Pink Floyd. You ought to dip into some of David Gilmore's solo work too sometime. His album "On an Island" is very good, very mellow. "Take a Breath" is one of my favorites.
Agreed, but On An Island is far better live than the studio version and I love the studio version. It's really a very lazy afternoon listen, which is what it's meant to be. I would rate his first solo album from 1978 and Rattle That Lock as better studio albums. Live, though, On An Island might be a 10/10.
@@ianfortier6796 You are correct that On an Island is great live- I own the DVD and love it.
Great reaction, man! I'd be good if you did all of PULSE from beginning to end!
Pink Floyd and Rush are both my #1 favorite classic rock bands. No way I can separate my love for both of them 👍
You will enjoy the Pulse version of Another Brick in the Wall.. It's fire. 💥
One correction. After they had to release their leader Syd Barrett, they did bring in David Gilmour, but it was Roger Waters who stepped up and became the new leader and changed the direction of the band. It's was quite amazing that they lose one genius and another genius was waiting in the wings.
I wouldn't say Roger stepped in as the driving force until Dark Side's concept. Prior to that it seemed to be all four of them cohesively finding their footing. The airy and expansive music from Saucerful straight through to Obscured By Clouds feels more Gilmourish to me.
David Gilmour is the TIMELORD OF THE LEAD GUITAR 🎸 PINK FLOYD WILL TAKE YOU TO ANOTHER WORLD 🌎 AND ACROSS THE MILKY WAY 🌌 I have been a big fan of PINK FLOYD from 15 now I am 60.
“Keep Talking” is another fantastic song from PULSE… it’s a great song, and I won’t spoil it but Dave uses a very cool guitar effect😮
That's what I came here to suggest. 😆 😮
Drummer is jumping so high great song wow
I guess all I can say is how disappointed I am with this song. And it's not just THIS song either, there's many songs, especially in their live performances, that leave me feeling the same way. I know I'm not the only one to feel this way, I've heard others indicate they feel the same, and it hurts to know they'll never be able to go back to appease me and the multitudes that feel "Oh man, that song could go on FOREVER!"
Oh well, I'll just have to keep coming back to listen to it and all their other great songs again and again and again. And again. And again. Thank you Syd, Roger, Nick, Richard, David, Guy, all the various backup singers, and all the guest performers and support that helped make these shows so epically enjoyable. From just another fanatic ❤❤❤
good to see someone loving his voice, as well as guitar playing. i've always loved it.
Moral of the story, if icing is forecasted and your aircraft is not equipped to handle it, keep your butt on the ground or you may find your soul blowing thru the roof of the night! Pro tip. Great review man
The drummer learned to fly
P.u.l.s.e 1994. best show ever
I believe the lead singer had taken a little time to himself to go study for and get his pilot license and when he returned he wrote this song.
Dave song telling about him getting his pilot licenses . He later own a plane museum
Biz, you really should listen to "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse" (have to do both as they run together and are really one song). It's about mental illness.
PROGRESIVE MUSIC IS THE BEST UNLIKE THE COMMERCIAL GARBAGE SOME PEOPLE CALL MUSIC
Sorrow from pulse is really good. I think you'd like it 😁 I wonder how much tickets cost to that concert because in the early 2000's I borrowed pulse on VHS from a guy and he said don't let anything happen to it, cause it cost $120. So I'm sure the concert wasn't cheap!
One of my personal favorites 🔥🎤🎸
YES!!
@@vickieray 😎😁😁😎
@@angelagraves865 ❤️❤️❤️❤️😁 I hope he checks it out!
I saw Pink Floyd twice, Animals tour and Momentary Lapse of Reason (my husband also saw "Dark Side of the Moon" live). I don't remember exactly, but I am pretty sure the tickets were less than $25. Those were the days.....
