    Thank you so much for actually having a camera where the ujoint is, actually driving it, actually having good audio so we can hear it, etc. 99% of the videos on here talking about ujoints is some dude filming in 120p with his cell phone from inside the car going "DIDJA HEAR DAT? DATS IT! DATS THE SOUND!" where you can literally hear nothing. Again thank you so much.

    Thank you sooooo much, ive been hunting this sound for months. It was intermittent. I've changed ujoints before and never heard this. Every single search I did on google or RUclips led me to someone who suggested a tune up. You know, because tune up

      Yeah, you’ll say “my transmission is stuck in third” and somebody will reply “tune up with acdelco sparkplugs and change the fuel filter”

    WOW THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT MY JEEP SOUNDS LIKE and why Ive been searching through vids tryna pin point a driveshaft differential or axle problem thank you for this my mechanics couldn't pin point on test drive but this is exactly the sound and speed and volume change mine makes while driving so my next shop visit I will tell them to start there 👍👍👍👍👍 I'm so glad I found this I've been bummed all weekend anticipating a MAJOR repair ...

    Just started hearing a sound like this from my truck tonight, have had a weird shimmy on the highway.. always suspected the drive shaft, but thanks to this vid it might be confirmed.. will be checking it in the AM .. thanks!!

    Just heard this exact sound on my 95 Bronco after getting off a highway, appreciate the time you took to upload this. Now I’m deciding do I replace just the uJoints or order a new drive shaft with new uJoints and simply unbolt & swap since both are most likely originals over 25 yrs old at this point. Thanks again!

    Thank you for doing an amazing video. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my suburban was making that noise. It pings when put in reverse and when I drive it sounds like some wire is hitting something

    Replaces my rear end and U joint. But I still get this sound in front! I have two more U joints at my front wheels that need replacing too!

      @@patchdaddy7019 to be honest no it wasn't. I thought it was but it was some screw lose under my trunk somewhere. What a relief

      Dmonieluv seems like it’s louder at lower rpm than faster my tahoe is doing some noise sound from the passenger side maybe it’s this ?🤔

      Lupita Rodriguez on mine it was the starter . There’s this little gear inside of it that was broken loose and was bouncing in and out when accelerating

    Yup I most likely got a bad u joint although it doesn't make that clunking noise only when I shift

      If it only clunks when shifting, its probably a bad motor mount.

    Gotta remember it could also be a bad cv joint so make sure to check both before you go and repair it.

    If not change the universal joint for a long time...what can happen to the other parts... example gearbox,longshaft n rear differential...

    Could you hear it more when decelerating and/or with clutch down? I'm having similar of not same problem and cant diagnose it. I cant hear mine when accelerating but definitelly on engine brake/deceleration and/or coasting.

      A guess maybe sticking brake caliper. My brake caliper sticks and you can hear the rotor getting rubbed pretty much all the time. A guess for you.

      @@Anthony-wk8zj mine ended up being lug nuts being lose and spinning and catching on the threads. I think. I took wheel off and cleaned brake calipers and it stopped.

    Could have something to do with someone going full yard on that drive line ear,, you can see around :35 it’s been beat like it owed somebody money, absolutely could be what’s throwing it out of balance.

    It only happens when I decelerate but that’s definitely the noise

    So I have a f250 4x4 changed the shocks still making loud clunking noise from the rear end only going over speed bumps but it sounds and sometimes feels like the bed is gonna break any ideas?

      Check where the bed mounts to body. Mine had a loose bolt and shook the actual bed when driving over bumps

    The clunking sound when you put it in gear is the dead give away

    Exact sound on a ford explorer 2008 with 133k miles, does it when trying to put it in reverse and drive, almost thought I needed to replace the tranny phewww, transmission is pretty smooth and I hope the explorer lasts with maintance. I just got it today. Don’t look forward to changing the joint but I have to do it 🫡
